It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug and it’s just a quick one for now. Let’s roll.
Eddie Guerrero is in the top 10 list of greatest wrestlers of all time. Yes or no?
Greatest of all time? That’s a tough one because Eddie is undeniably great, but all time covers a lot of territory. Eddie belongs in the conversation to be sure, but for my list, he probably wouldn’t make the cut.
If Tony Khan named you Interim Tony to run AEW in his absence, what would be your first proclamation?
A chain of command with an experienced booker would be established and what that booker says goes, no arguments. If someone has a problem, they can cry me a river and go home for good.
Repo Man vs Shockmaster. Who would win?
It’s all about the Repo Man for this one.
If you had to wrestle any female wrestler from any company today, who would you pick and why?
Easy answer. Rhea Ripley of course. Who wouldn’t want to take on Mami?
Who is your favorite general manager in WWE history?
There have been plenty of good ones and a few not so much, but my favorite. Let’s talk ruthless aggression and Eric Bischoff.
Who is the most underrated/underutilized talent in WWE?
Someone who can do everything, but seems to be lost in the shuffle and deserves more of a push and moment in the sun? I’d say Joaquin Wilde. Yes, he’s part of the LWO and that’s good, but I remember what this guy was doing in TNA as Zema Ion and he was damn good. With the right story and push, he could be a big name for WWE and their Latino audience. He deserves better in my opinion.
If you were in the Bucks position, what move are you doing on Tony Khan?
The Money Grab. Oh wait, they’re already doing that with their big contracts while they bleed viewers and fans. I think I would have put him through a table or two.
How long before Tiffany Stratton is champ?
I’m giving her about a year or so. Her time is coming, but the roster is so strong right now, she has to wait her turn.
Now the dust has settled. Do you rate Ospreay vs Danielson in your top 10 matches of all time and if so….what number?
It was a good match, but all time covers a lot of territory and I have seen thousands of matches over my time as a fan of professional wrestling. Ospreay and Danielson had the best match of the night at AEW Dynasty but for my Top Ten? It’s not even close to making the cut.
IF each WWE title had to change hands and the current champs could not be the ones to take another champs title (for instance Cody becomes IC Champ) who would you choose for each title and why?
If I get the concept of this question, who should take the title off of each champion, and wrestlers who are current champions and would be losing their belts in the mix are not eligible to win new ones? Okay, let’s do this. Cody would lose to Drew McIntyre, while Damian Priest would lose to Finn Balor. I’d have Sami Zayn lose to Bronson Reed, while Logan Paul would lose to Gunther. The Awesome Truth would lose to Dominik and JD, while Waller & Theory would drop their belts to The Steet Profits. Becky would lose to Liv Morgan while Bayley would drop the belt to Tiffany Straton. The Kabuki Warriors lose to Jade Cargill & Bianca. And there you go.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
