It’s too early in the morning and this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m your worn-out party host and Guiding Light, Doug, and this is where all the wrestling-themed questions come to be answered. Are you ready? Let’s roll.

According to PWInsider, the planned talent for the Wyatt-themed faction is Bo Dallas, Nikki Cross, Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy, and Erick Rowan. Thoughts?

What a crowd this is and it looks and sounds excellent to me. Rowan is the monster of a man with a link to the original Wyatt Family. Both Lumis and Nikki have reputations as oddball characters who can not be underestimated. Gacy has easily been one of the best characters and performers recently in NXT and has a Bray kind of vibe and Bo is so underrated and was already playing the Uncle Howdy character. Add one more, most likely Alexa Bliss, who has a history with The Fiend and with Nikki, to the mix, and this could be wrestling faction magic. Keeping the ties to the original Wyatt Family and not going over the line will be a difficult act to balance out, but the potential is there and this entire faction, if the names are correct, could be both fun and formidable. I’m very interested in seeing how this develops.

Who would have won in a real fight between Andre the Giant & Kurt Angle?

A shoot between these two would not be pretty. Andre has the size, but Angle has the legitimate skills and could tie Andre up if the opportunity presented itself. I think Andre would still win.

Conrad Thompson has said that he’ll never attempt to do another podcast with his father-in-law, Ric Flair. Thoughts?

He’s tried on three different occasions and each time was a major disaster so who can blame Conrad? Ric doesn’t care nor want to devote the time or energy required to make something like that and each show was obviously like pulling teeth for Conrad, trying to keep Flair involved and an active part of the show. Flair was drunk more often than not and I guess Conrad just got tired of having to coddle and babysit Flair. It’s a shame, but it’s Ric Flair so is anyone truly surprised?

What y’all gonna say when Drew Gulak shows up in AEW because he’s Bryan Danielson’s boy?

If Gulak shows up in AEW, I’ll say, “Look! It’s Drew Gulak and he’s in AEW. I wonder how they’re going to screw this up? Oh well! At least he’s getting paid!”.

I am part of the reason that AEW’s ratings are going down. With the focus on The Young Bucks and Jack Perry, I refuse to watch the show. Do you think that more people like me have stopped watching for that reason?

Perry and the Bucks are hard to watch, but it’s not just them. It’s the entire show and product. The promos are bad, the stories are non-existent, the production values are hard to deal with, and the matches are just spot-fests that make no sense. There is no sense of structure or purpose and most Independent shows are easier to watch and make more sense than 96% of the AEW product. The television ratings, live event attendance, and PPV buys all fall for the same reason. The product is just not good or entertaining to watch. There are a few talents who are still watchable, but for the most part, it’s not just one or two people. It’s all of it.

Should the Bloodline have female members (Naomi, Tamina, Nia)?

I would say yes. It makes sense in the big picture of things and hasn’t harmed groups like Judgment Day or Alpha Academy by mixing things up. The women are often the strongest part of the WWE product and one or two strong women as part of the Bloodline, especially when the familial ties are already common knowledge, makes sense.

If you could have a WWE entrance song play whenever you walked into a room, what would it be?

Eric Bischoff’s theme, “I’m Back!”. It just fits me and who I would want to be.

Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard & Barry Windham w/ James J. Dillon & Baby Doll versus The Shield (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose). Who wins?

The Horsemen have Baby Doll and James J. Dillon on the outside of the ring to cause distractions and get involved as needed. The Shield is tough, but the Horsemen steal the win.

How will you remember Jerry Lawler’s 30-year tenure in WWE?

A funny announcer, a comedic commentator who could wrestle when necessary, and puppies. Lawler was simply The King. ‘Nuff said!

Who Is The GREATEST WWE Ring Announcer of ALL-TIME?

In the WWE, that honor can only belong to one man. With all due respect and love to Lilian Garcia and Justin Roberts, who both were damn good and incredible, the GOAT of WWE ring announcing will always be Howard Finkel, aka The Fink. And I think all of the others would agree.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up for now. I have to go get ready for a useless dose of physical therapy to learn to walk on my bad foot that I’m not supposed to be walking on. Yeah, it’s like that. Take care and be well, my friends. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
