It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your resident party host and Guiding Light. You’ve got questions and I’ve got the answers. Let’s roll.

The Jumping Bomb Angels (Itsuki Yamazaki & Noriyo Tateno) versus Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane). Who wins?

The Jumping Bomb Angels were good for their time, but wrestling has changed and evolved so much over the past twenty years, especially women’s wrestling, it’s a different world. Asuka and Kairi would get the win here.

Kenny Omega vs The ELITE. What side are you on?

I never thought I’d be saying this, but Team Kenny all the way. Yes, the Bucks are that annoying.

Singers Drake and Kendrick Lamar have been going back and forth with diss tracks on each other and comments in the press. Shawn Michaels recently invited both men to come to NXT to settle their differences and even offered to mediate the situation. Thoughts?

Shawn is throwing it out there to capitalize on the publicity for WWE and the NXT brand. I can’t blame him for that. Just imagine though if Drake and Lamar both decided to take him up on the offer and came to NXT to have a match. That would be quite entertaining to see.

Better rivalry: Ric Flair versus Rick Steamboat, Bret Hart versus Shawn Michaels, or Roman Reigns versus Cody Rhodes?

Of the three rivalries listed, I have to go with Bret versus HBK. The fallout from their ill feelings towards each other changed the world of professional wrestling forever.

Are you excited about the WWE King and Queen of the Ring tournaments?

Not really, but I’m sure my interest will pick up as we get closer to the finals at the Saudi Arabia show.

AEW star Christian says he “could give two shits” about a future WWE Hall of Fame induction. Thoughts?

Yes, Christian did say this, but he was in character doing an interview when he said it. In just a few years, we’ll see Adam Copeland at the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony inducting Christian into the WWE Hall of Fame. Both will be all smiles, full of stories, and happy to be there.

What’s next for Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes?

I would think a few random title defenses leading up to a big match at the King of the Ring PLE against maybe Solo Sikoa or some other member of The Bloodline. I could also see a challenge from Logan Paul happening sooner rather than later.

So, Jerry Lawler to AEW to work commentary with Jim Ross. Yes or no?

I hope not because Lawler is not ready to be on national TV calling matches right now. He’s still recovering from the stroke he had a couple of years ago. Also, given Ross’s recent health problems, I’m scared that putting Lawler and Ross together to try and call a major event would be a disaster that would tarnish the legacy they’ve established together. But that being said, I’m sure that Tony Khan has already pulled out the checkbook to make an offer. I just hope that Lawler and Ross are wise enough to say no.

Is it fair to say that Ricochet has evolved into a modern-day S.D. Jones?
Solid in the ring, moderately popular with the fans, agreeable to his peers, and has an action figure or two, but ultimately just there to make others look good.

That’s an interesting comparison and I can’t say I disagree. In a perfect world, Ricochet would be a top guy and star, but as you noted, he seems to be more of a popular jobber than anything else. Sad, but quite obviously, very true.

Does Ric Flair need to spend some time in Diamond Dallas Page’s “Sober House”?

It sure wouldn’t hurt, but it would never work. For a person to get better, they have to want to get better and Flair finds nothing wrong with his drinking and alcohol abuse. It’s a good idea though if Ric ever truly decides he wants a change in his life. I just don’t think he does.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up for now. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
