It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your resident party host and Guiding Light and that is all the people need to know. Let’s do this.

Matt Cardona recently revealed that he has yet to be offered a full-time deal with either AEW or WWE as of yet. Should one of the “Big 2” attempt to sign Cardona?

Matt has a great thing going as the Indy God and Deathmatch King and why screw it up? I’m surprised that neither Tony Khan nor Triple H has approached Cardona yet about a long-term deal, but I’m sure both men, especially Triple H are watching and paying attention. I’m sure that sooner, rather than later, Matt will get a phone call about having a conversation. It’s bound to happen.

Would you like to see a WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia?

WrestleMania? No, I don’t think that would work for WWE or the fans. One of the other PLE events though, I can very well see it happening.

Now that WWE is getting more $$$ from Saudi Arabia, can they bring Sgt Slaughter back for one last babyface run on one of these shows?

Why? Sarge is 75 years old and hasn’t wrestled in a match since 2014. There is no need for Slaughter to break his retirement and come back to embarrass himself. He’s not Ric Flair after all.

There is some “trepidation” within WWE creative over fear that when Jacob Fatu debuts for the company, his presence could “outshine” Solo Sikoa at this stage. Thoughts?

Fatu is a good talker and better in the ring so it’s a logical concern. WWE just needs to let Sikoa do more promos, work in more matches, and step up his game. He’ll get better with more experience and confidence and then, any concerns about Fatu shouldn’t matter.

Should WWE bring in Jay Lethal to take over Big E’s spot with Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston as part of the New Day?

Jay Lethal is under contract to AEW/ROH and isn’t an option so far as I know, despite his and Wood’s prior associations. The New Day doesn’t need a new member, but if they decide to add one, they should recruit from inside, looking at WWE and NXT talents first before going outside the company.

Ole & Arn Anderson versus Jack & Jerry Brisco. Who wins?

Given that the Dark Side episode about Black Saturday is fresh on my mind and also given that if Arn is Ole’s partner, this match would have to take place after the events of Black Saturday, I’d say Jack and Jerry win by DQ when a pissed off Ole decides to shoot and whoops the hell out of them.

Should Willow Nightingale & Mercedes Mone’ main event AEW Double or Nothing?

No, they shouldn’t. They should put this match on as early in the card as possible to get it over with because I have a strong suspicion that it’s going to be a major stinker.

If you were a heel wrestler and had to choose between Lou Albano or Bobby Heenan as your manager, who would you choose?

I’d probably go with Captain Lou. Bobby was great, but he always had a faction and a large number of wrestlers to look after at any given time. Lou was usually one tag team or one wrestler at a time and would be more focused on my skills as an individual talent.

Ric Flair has labeled the upcoming docuseries, “Who Killed WCW”, produced by The Rock, as “Bullshit!”. Thoughts?

Ric is mad because he wasn’t interviewed for the show and his feelings are hurt. Ric is just being Ric, as usual.

So who will end up as part of AEW first? Shane McMahon, Vince McMahon, Vince Russo, or Jim Cornette?

Of this list of options, Shane McMahon seems to be the most likely to jump aboard the AEW train and become All Elite. Vince has too much ego/pride, Corny is too busy with the podcasts, and Russo? I just don’t see it. Let’s go with Shane.

And I guess we’ll wrap things up here. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, be well my friends. Watch out for that handful of power to the eyes and I’ll see you at the matches.
