It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug and this is how we do it. Let’s roll.

Now that Mr. Stone is back and offering his managerial services and expertise to any of the up-and-coming stars of the WWE NXT roster, who should align themselves with him and guarantee themselves success and a rise to the top?

I’d like to see Robert Stone, aka the former Robbie E. in TNA, hook back up with former client Chelsea Green as her secret weapon in her attempts to capture the NXT Women’s Championship from current champion Roxanne Perez. He could also work as her manager, along with Piper Niven, as she goes after the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship titles.

Jim Ross doesn’t think he and Jerry Lawler have called their last match together. Thoughts?

I can see the two of them getting together for a special event at some point and calling the action. I just don’t think it will be in AEW or WWE.

Fabulous Moolah and Mae Young or The Bella Twins?

This one is a no-brainer for sure. I’d have to say Moolah and Mae.

SmackDown will move to USA Network on September 13, earlier than its previously reported October 2024 date, while RAW will stay on the USA Network until the end of the year when it moves to Netflix. Thoughts?

For four months, the USA Network will be the place to see all things WWE. Sounds good to me.

Tony Khan says AEW promos feel like you’re hearing a real person talk while WWE is too scripted and fake. Thoughts?

Has Tony watched WWE recently? Has he seen CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Pat McAfee, Drew McIntyre, or any other WWE talents lately? The scripted promos are, more or less, things of the past, and WWE is on fire. And the promos are still to the point and the fans are loving it. And AEW? Some of the promos are good, but others are all over the place and painful to listen to. The secret to a good promo is to get to the point and make it sound convincing in the process. AEW needs to work on both parts. The promos do neither of those things more often than not.

Nia Jax versus Victoria. Who wins?

She’s not the lady to mess with. Victoria wins.

So, as punishment for attacking Tony Khan, The New Elite (The Young Bucks, Jack Perry, Kazuchika Okada) must face FTR, Bryan Danielson, and Eddie Kingston at AEW Double or Nothing at an Anarchy In The Arena match, by order of EVP Kenny Omega. Thoughts?

It’s all rather anti-climatic and losing steam quickly. I honestly wasn’t much interested in this angle before and this new stipulation and the supposed climax do nothing to change my feelings. I don’t think that this extra exciting and dramatic Anarchy in the Arena is going to do anything to change AEW or help them pick up on ratings or audience. It’ll probably do just the opposite.

Sgt. Slaughter is allegedly upset with The Undertaker for not inviting him to his Hall of Fame induction and claims that he’s the one who suggested Mark Calaway to Vince McMahon in the first place. Thoughts?

This is old news from nearly a year ago. Slaughter was upset at the Undertaker for not inviting Slaughter to the WWE Hall of Fame Induction ceremony last year. I remember this from way back then. I guess they got it worked out between them because I haven’t seen or heard anything else on this since.

Thoughts on Jacqueline/Miss Jackie.

Small in stature, but as tough as they come. It doesn’t matter if you call her Jackie, Jaqueline, Miss Texas, or just champ, Jackie Moore was ahead of her time in professional wrestling and rarely failed to deliver. Often underrated and lost in the shuffle, Jackie took a back seat to no one. She was legit and the real deal in every way that matters. A true icon and wrestling legend.

Marvel Studios allegedly wants The Rock to play X-Man villain Apocalypse in the MCU. Thoughts?

The Rock as Apocalypse? I can see this happening and it makes sense to me. That would be an excellent role for Dwayne Johnson and I hope this isn’t just speculation and works out. I’d like to see it happen.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
