It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m your resident party host and Guiding Light. My name is Doug. Let’s do this.

Do you think Triple H would be CCO and head of creative if he didn’t marry into the McMahon family?

Honestly, no I don’t. I think he would have evolved into a member of the WWE Creative Team at some point, maybe as an agent or executive, but his climb up the executive ladder in WWE would have eventually hit a glass ceiling. Marrying Stephanie and becoming part of the McMahon family opened a lot of doors for Triple H that he otherwise would never have been able to pass.

Are Promo skills more important than wrestling skills?

Both sets of skills are important to making it in today’s business and becoming a top talent in wrestling. If your abilities only feature one skill or the other, there’s not but so far you can go. Promo skills are not more important than wrestling skills, but equally as important, at least in my opinion.

Which tag team do you think should next be inducted into the WWE HOF?

This one is a no-brainer to me. The Midnight Express (Stan Lane, Bobby Eaton & Dennis Condrey) w/ Jim Cornette. Demolition also belongs, but Corny and the Midnighters should be inducted first.

What are your thoughts on the Ronda Rousey Book and Her Remarks about other wrestlers such as Roman and Logan Paul?

Ronda is just talking to be talking and trying to sell a book. If she truly feels this way, who knows? I suspect that the real Ronda Rousey and the book-selling Ronda Rousey are two different people.

If VKM is cleared of his allegations do you see him attempting to get himself back into the WWE or starting a new wrestling company, possibly with the Saudis?

Vince is 78 years old and a billionaire. I can’t see him trying to start anything new, be it in opposition to the WWE or with the Saudis. I guess that Vince does find a way to clear his name, he’ll take an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame as a show of redemption and then enjoy his retirement, living the quiet life as a father, grandpa, and content billionaire.

Do you think AEW would benefit from a minor league? Like NXT/OVW/Power Plant and who would you have in charge of it?

At this point, AEW is more like a minor league than in need of one. If AEW were to ally with another promotion to better train their talents and use them as a feeder system, my pick would be OVW and Al Snow. They have a system in place and Snow knows how to make stars from his days with WWE and Tough Enough. So Snow’s OVW. That would be my choice.

With it being reported that The Rock vs. Cody Rhodes is planned for WrestleMania 41, who should Roman Reigns face at the event? Seth?

If Rock versus Cody is indeed the plan for Mania 41, how about Roman versus Solo as a co-main event for control of the Bloodline? Maybe Roman is challenging whoever the World Champion is, be it Seth, Damion Priest, or anyone else. That would work for me.

Mankind or Chris Jericho?

All apologies to Mick Foley, but I have to go with Jericho on this one.

Should Demolition be in the HOF?

I answered this question just a few questions ago. The Midnight Express and Cornette need to go in first, but Demolition is a no-brainer for the WWE Hall of Fame as well.

Will Baron Corbin get over this time?

If his appearance on Smackdown last night was any indication, I would say yes.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. I need to go throw a load of clothes in the dryer. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
