It’s the Ultimate Wrestling QA and it’s #3 of the day. I’m Doug. Let’s roll.

Dirty Dutch Mantell versus Taz. Who wins?

Dutch may be Dirty, but Taz was known as the Human Submission Machine for good reason. Taz would win.

Should Ilja Dragunov and Gunther face each other in the King of the Ring final?

Based on their prior encounters as part of NXT, I think a Dragunov-Gunther final for the King of the Ring sounds like an excellent idea.

I’ve been hearing that the expectation is that AEW will not even get close to their current TV rights deal. Many contracts will be cut over this, and AEW wrestlers are not happy. Thoughts.

AEW is a sinking ship and I’ve heard the same rumors. It happens though. It’s the nature of the business and while it sucks that people may lose their jobs, that’s life. Sad, but true.

Randy Orton or Booker T.?

I have to go with Randy on this one. The Spinneroonie is great, but nothing beats an RKO from out of nowhere.

The Cash Wheeler criminal case was dropped and he will not face the charge of aggravated assault with s firearm. Thoughts?

Good for Cash Wheeler. It was, in my opinion, a BS charge anyhow. I’m glad that Cash doesn’t have to worry about this hanging over his head anymore. Now he and partner Dax can focus on what they do best. Wrestling!

Do you want to see Jesse Ventura back to WWE in some capacity?

While it would make for a good nostalgic moment, aside from that, what would Ventura add to today’s product? He’s 72 years old and hasn’t been actively involved in the business for over thirty years. Yeah, it’d be cool to see Jesse make a cameo here and there, but aside from that, I don’t see the point.

Bob Bruggers, who worked as a wrestler for the AWA & Mid-Atlantic Wrestling, passed away. The Minnesota Star-Tribune reported that Bruggers passed away in Florida on Friday. He was 80 years old. Thoughts & memories of Bruggers?

I don’t have any. I remember hearing Brugger’s name mentioned every so often, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen him wrestle or do an interview. He was known as a legend here in the Carolinas, but unfortunately, I was too young during his heyday and missed the Brugger’s experience entirely.

Thoughts on Rob Conway?

I always liked Rob Conway and thought he had a good look and was solid in the ring. I remember him being a Legend Killer and the Con-Man, but neither gimmick ever really took off for him, and has been seen as a lower mid-card guy in WWE at best. I loved his theme song though. “Just Look At Me!”. Very underrated as a wrestler or talker.

4 years ago, WWE held the Men’s and Women’s Money In The Bank in WWE HQ for the first and only time, at the same time! It was a memorable match with Otis and Asuka winning their respective MITB contracts. Would you like to see WWE do this again and run both MITB matches at the same time?

It was an interesting way of doing the Money In The Bank, made necessary by the Pandemic BS that was restricting the country at the time. I wouldn’t mind seeing WWE do it this way again. It would be something different and fun.

Lilian Garcia was back on RAW for a cameo appearance. Would you like to see Lilian back in WWE full-time?

I think the current ring announcers in WWE are doing an excellent job, but if WWE were to bring Lilian Garcia back full-time, I would not object in the slightest. She is a very beautiful woman with an amazing smile. Who would ever object to or complain about that?

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. Let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
