It’s the fourth (of 4) edition of the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I forgot to post yesterday and I’ve been playing catch up. My bad. I’m Doug and this is how we do it. Let’s roll.

What’s the direction for Rhea when she comes back?

Get revenge on Liv Morgan, reunite with Dom, and win back her WWE Women’s World Championship.

Would you like to see Wardlow in WWE?

I would love to see what WWE could do with Wardlow. He’s got charisma and potential and AEW has dropped the ball on him so many times, that I don’t think his career in AEW can be salvaged. I’d love to see what he’s capable of in an NXT or WWE ring.

What’s your favorite Ric Flair match?

I think it’s the match that was “Two Words – Five Letters – I Quit!” versus Terry Funk at WCW Clash of the Champions IX: New York Knockout, on November 15, 1989. That match was awesome!

How about Collision on Thursdays? Less sports competition then it might do the same ratings as Dynamite.

A Thursday night would work far better than Saturday night for sure. It’d also be better for the talents and production crews, working two nights straight rather than two days a week, separated by a three-day break. AEW should talk with the WBD people and maybe give Thursday nights a shot. It sure couldn’t hurt.

Dana White says he has no problem with UFC fighters appearing in WWE especially now that Vince McMahon isn’t here to f*** him. “Some of the fighters who fight here have always dreamed about doing a WWE match.” Thoughts?

Given that WWE and UFC are now part of the same company, having more crossover events makes sense. It would add eyes to both products and would be a good way to build both audiences. Sounds like a good business strategy to me.

Sid Vicious versus Gunther. Who wins?

Sid may be psycho, but Gunther is a Ring General. Gunther wins.

AEW is reportedly “crossing their fingers” Eddie Kingston will be okay following an apparent leg injury at NJPW Resurgence during his Last Man Standing match with Gabe Kidd. Kingston is scheduled to compete in the Anarchy in the Arena match at AEW Double or Nothing on May 26. Thoughts?

That’s one of the problems with letting talents take outside bookings. Injuries happen and then what? Hopefully, Kingston will be okay and ready to go by AEW Double or Nothing. And if not, they can switch almost any random AEW guy into the match as a replacement. No one would ever notice or care.

What’s your worst wrestling trauma?

The Benoit murder/suicide involving Chris Benoit, Nancy Benoit, aka Woman, and their son, Daniel. That still screws with my mind when I think about it.

What name comes to mind when I say AWA World Heavyweight Wrestling Champion?

Larry Zbyszko. I just watched a shoot interview with The Living Legend last night and he told many stories about many things, and not just Bruno. Stories of Verne Gagne, Stan Hansen, Curt Hennig, and his time as the AWA World Champion. So Zbyszko, the final AWA World Champion, is the first name I think of when that prestigious title is mentioned.

“Superfly” Jimmy Snuka versus “Main Event” Jey Uso. Who wins?

Jey may have plenty of Yeet!, but Snuka was so intense, I’d have to go with The Superfly on this one.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, I think I’m through. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for the green mist and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
