It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug, your resident Guiding Light and party host. Let’s roll.

Vince Russo claims that JD McDonagh is only part of Judgment Day because of his connection to Finn Balor and not because of his talent. Thoughts?

Every group needs someone to take the shots and McDonagh has been excellent so far since joining Judgment Day. Who cares how he got the part? Wrestling is full of nepotism. It’s all about who you know and who is pulling the strings to determine the success of a wrestler. If Balor helped JD get his spot, great. JD has busted his ass and worked hard to keep it and prove he belongs. That’s the main thing that matters.

Is Bianca Belair “over-pushed” by the WWE? Yes or no?

In some ways, yes. She was pushed as a superwoman and the act got stale after a while. She reminds me of the early John Cena where we are forced to see all of Bianca, all the time and it has gotten old. WWE seems to have stepped back a bit on this and she’s starting to show more flexibility and isn’t unbeatable anymore. It makes her more likable and human not being all that. But yes, for a while, she was way over-pushed, at least in my opinion.

Austin Theory recently stated that he believes the current era of WWE has surpassed the Attitude Era. Is Theory right?

Not yet. The new era is getting better all the time and is well on its way to being among the best, but the Attitude Era had The Rock, Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Triple H, Mick Foley, etc, as the big stars. The current WWE has some great names too, but they’re not quite in that league yet. Give us a couple of more years and ask again.

Your honest opinion/take on the Becky Lynch v Liv Morgan feud thus far?

I’ve watched and it’s okay, but Liv Morgan honestly doesn’t do much for me and it’s been more by the numbers in my opinion than anything else. This is just a placeholder until Rhea is ready to return.

There are rumors that Danhausen’s contract will not be renewed by AEW and he’ll soon be a free agent. So, will he be going to WWE?

I can’t see Danhausen’s character working well or fitting in with the WWE. I don’t see that as an option. Luckily, he’s popular enough that he can work Independent shows, as well as continue to work GCW, and he’ll be fine. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him pop up in TNA or the NWA at some point, but so far as full-time work, I think that the Indys will be his most likely and best option.

Liv Morgan versus Rhea Ripley in a Dom Dom on a pole match. Who wins?

Rhea wins of course. Mami is always on top.

Norman Smiley versus R-Truth. Who wins?

Two great talents who can do comedy and put on a terrific match as well. Norman is vastly underrated as a wrestler, but when he wasn’t doing the Big Wiggle, he could go hold for hold with anyone. And Truth? He’s a former NWA World Champion and a legend in every sense of the word. I think Smiley would take the win in a serious match.

Who belongs on the Mt. Rushmore of the Attitude Era?

I named them a few questions ago. The Undertaker, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Mr. McMahon.

WWE versus NXT versus AEW versus TNA. One from each promotion to face off in a Fatal 4-Way match. Who are your picks and who would win? Both male and female.

For the men, it would be Seth Rollins versus Trick Williams versus Kenny Omega versus Moose. And Seth would win. As for the women, it would be Rhea Ripley versus Roxanne Perez versus Toni Storm versus Mickie James. And the winner? Mami, of course. Rhea Ripley wins.

Mickie James or Natalya?

If I was building a roster, I’d want both for sure. To use as a trainer, I’d go with Natalya. For public relations and appearances, I’d go with Mickie James. Both are so good at what they do, it’s hard to make a choice. If I could only have one, I think it’d be Natalya though. She likes cats. I like cats. ‘Nuff said!

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. I’ll be back shortly with more of the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A, plus some predictions for WWE King & Queen of the Ring and AEW Double or Nothing 2024. Look for them. And with that, I’m out of here. Take care and be well and I’ll see you at the matches.
