It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug and this is how we do it. Let’s roll.
If you’re Vince McMahon it’s time to find a country that won’t extradite him to the USA, hop on a plane, and never come back, right?
If I was Vince McMahon, I wouldn’t be dealing with these issues to begin with. But Vince will do as Vince always does. He’ll fight until his last breath. That’s the Vince McMahon way.
AEW World Champion Swerve believes that now is more likely than ever for WWE and AEW to work together. “If there’s ever a time it could happen, now’s more likely than it’s ever been. I don’t think either person [Triple H and Tony Khan] is opposed.” Thoughts?
Has Swerve listened to the comments his “boss” has made about WWE? Especially the Harvey Weinstein comment. It might happen at some point and time that AEW and WWE can work together, but it won’t be anytime soon.
The Shield (Roman, Seth, Ambrose) versus The Brood (Edge, Christian, Gangrel) versus The nWo (Hall, Nash, Hogan). Who wins?
The Brood was awesome and the nWo was for life, but the winners here? It would be Roman, Seth, and Ambrose, aka The Shield.
There is talk that Glenn Jacobs, aka Kane, is considering running for Governor of Tennessee. Would you like to see Jacobs become a candidate for Governor? Would he win?
Jacobs has done far better in politics than anyone could have expected and he would be a strong candidate for Governor of Tennessee if he eventually does decide to go that route. I think he would do very well in a statewide election and yes, I think he would win.
As of today, June 1, 2024, the Miz has the most losses in WWE history with 1335 defeats. Thoughts?
And yet, he’s still over with the vast majority of the WWE audience, works as one of their best and most popular Ambassadors for personal appearances and other events, and can easily step into any story or title situation and feel as if he belongs. For this man, wins and losses don’t matter because he is that good. He’s the Miz and he’s… awesome!
Should WWE bring back the WrestleRock Rumble? It was the AWA’s premiere event and the video promoting it was awesome.
Some things are better left to nostalgic memories that stay buried in the past. The WrestleRock Rumble? That is one of those things.
Why didn’t Gary Hart or Sir Oliver Humperdink ever work as a manager in the WWE? They were phenomenal in the territories and NWA, so why didn’t WWE bring them in?
WWE did bring in Sir Oliver Humperdink as the manager for Bam Bam Bigelow for a time, but he was used as a babyface manager and anyone who’s ever seen Humperdink in Florida or the Mid-Atlantic region knows that Humperink is a far better heel. It just didn’t work. As for Gary Hart, my guess is that he was too much of a politician to work in WWE and given his background as a booker, would ruffle too many feathers backstage. He was a great manager and character though, and it would have been interesting to see how a run in the WWE might have worked for him.
Thoughts on Lio Rush?
Lio is a great talker and has all of the tools to be a big star one day. He’s very charismatic and gets better in the ring with every match. His main problem seems to be that mouth though. He speaks far too often before he thinks. He’s also seemingly injury-prone. Every time that he’s ready for a strong push, he either gets hurt or “retires”. That tends to get old kind of fast.
Daniel Garcia versus Grand Master Sexay Brian Christopher. Who wins?
I was a huge fan of Brian Christopher and I am a fan of Daniel Garcia. This would be a fun, entertaining match. That being said, Garcia has nowhere near the experience that Brian Christopher brought to the ring. Grand Master Sexay would win and take that infamous trip to the pay window.
Madusa, Baby Doll, & Missy Hyatt versus Miss Elizabeth, Woman, & Francine. Who wins?
(In my best Joey Styles imitation), “CATFIGHT!”. Six amazing women, but only one was a trained wrestler and combat fighter. Madusa, Baby Doll, and Missy would end up getting the win.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
