It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. Let’s roll.

Thoughts on Cody Rhodes vs. AJ Styles becoming an “I Quit” match?

Who doesn’t remember the classic Flair versus Funk I Quit match? Or The Rock and Mick Foley and their epic encounter. If done correctly, an I Quit match can be a great event. I have plenty of faith that Cody and AJ will do it correctly.

Do you think Ricochet should’ve been a World Champion in WWE?

No, I don’t. He’s a damn good wrestler, but I just don’t see that “it” about him that says World Champion. The upper mid-card is about as high as he could have possibly expected.

“I would rather work at McDonalds than rejoining WWE now.” – Jon Moxley. Thoughts?

And that is fine because WWE doesn’t need him. They have plenty of top superstars and talented wrestlers on the roster and to be honest, Moxley has not improved over the past few years. He’s gotten sloppier and worse and I doubt, given the quality of his matches now, WWE would even want him corrupting their locker room.

Why do WWE wrestlers remove monitors before putting foes through tables? Flying monitor contact=extra punishment. Why be so nice?

The monitors are expensive and cost the company money. Why damage more property than necessary? Also, the edges on the monitors could cause legitimate serious injuries. Why take the risks?

Bronson Reed versus King Kong Bundy. Who wins?

Reed is amazing and has a big future ahead of him, but King Kong Bundy had the Avalanche. I think Reed would put up a fantastic fight, but in the end, it’d be the same and he’d be hearing, “Five! Five! Count five!”.

Thoughts on the NXT Battleground PLE?

As of this writing, at 10:00 on Monday morning, I haven’t watched it yet. I did read the reviews and it sounds as if it was a fantastic show. I’m excited about it and will be watching it later this afternoon.

Max Caster recently claimed that both his elbow drop and rapping abilities are superior to those of Randy Savage. Thoughts?

I think Caster is just talking crap, as usual. He’s no match for the Macho Man, not in the ring and not doing the rap. Oh yeah!

So who can book AEW so I can actually give a fuck? D’Amore? Sapolsky? I’m sure someone can make Osprey, Okada, Jay White, Ricky Starks, and many others into stars. Who is the guy they can hire to do that?

I can think of plenty who could do it. The ones you mentioned like D’Amore or Sapolsky would both work. Luring Paul Heyman away from the WWE would work. Enticing Jim Cornette, Kevin Sullivan, Kevin Nash, or Dutch Mantell from retirement would work. Giving the book to Jeff Jarrett or Jim Ross would work. Hell, even Vince Russo would be better. But the bottom line is that it doesn’t matter who they hire. Unless Tony Khan is forced to give up the booking, it will never get better and he’s not going to do that.

If you are WWE, when do you debut Jacob Fatu to make the biggest impact? A certain point in a storyline, or a show like a SummerSlam or Royal Rumble?

I would debut him when the time is right and it makes the most sense or impact. Most likely, I am thinking that either SummerSlam or the RAW immediately after would be the best option.

Instead of Trump and Biden, the Republicans and Democrats nominated two professional wrestlers as candidates for President of the United States. What two wrestlers would you want to see them nominate? President and Vice President.

For the Republicans, I would say maybe Glenn Jacobs, aka Kane, and as his running mate, Dutch Mantell. For the Democrats, the easiest choice would be Mick Foley, with CM Punk as his fellow nominee. Kane and Dutch versus Foley and Punk. It would certainly be two better options on both sides than anything we’ve been seeing as options for the past several election cycles. And just for shits and giggles, a third-party candidate. How about Jim Cornette and Jeff Jarrett? Imagine those debates. They would truly be worth watching.

And there you go. Any questions, thoughts, or comments are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. Thanks for reading and watch out for the foreign objects. I’ll see you again very soon.
