It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. Let’s rock!

Bulldog Brower & The Sheik versus Jimmy & Jey Uso. Who wins?

While Sheik and Brower were scary dudes and would do their best to slice and dice up the Usos, they were more flash and character than actual wrestlers. The Usos are not only good characters but good wrestlers as well. The Usos would win.

Hulk Hogan has launched a Real American Beer. Will you be trying/drinking it? Should Jack Swagger & Uncle Zeb be the spokespersons?

They have as much right to the Real American name as Hogan does. If I come across it, I might give it a shot, but that’s only because it’s a wrestling thing. Hogan’s part in this new beer? I couldn’t care less.

Would you be interested in a Joey Styles podcast?

If Joey were to make a podcast, I’d listen. I think it would be pretty decent.

So Judgment Day can’t interfere in the match with Drew and Priest, right? But Carlito isn’t officially Judgment Day, right? Thoughts?

That catch allows Priest an out to win without making Drew look bad in the process. The other option is CM Punk getting involved. Rumors are that he’s been spotted in Scotland so that’s rather likely as well. I think we’ll see a combination of involvement by both men.

Hulk Hogan & Ultimate Warrior versus Lex Luger & Sting. Who wins?

I have to go with Lex and Sting on this one.

What ruined the Von Erich son’s career? Their dad or the curse?

I would say neither. I think the lack of professionalism, not showing up for shows, and drug use by all the boys factored more in the demise of the Von Erich careers than anything else.

Wardlow seems to have all the tools to be a major star, but something seems to be lacking. Is it his limited skill set, the lack of charisma, or something else? What do you think?

I think it’s the start/stop booking that is AEW, plus the lack of a sustained push. As you said, he has all the tools, but none of that matters when you’re sitting at home waiting to be used.

Do you believe the stories about Wildfire Tommy Rich, promoter Jim Barnett and the NWA World Championship?

Do I believe the rumors? Yes, I do. Do I care? Not a bit. Tommy got to be the NWA World Heavyweight Champion in an era when that title meant something and no one can ever take that away from him. It boosted his career, plus helped to boost the Georgia territory for a time. It sounds win-win to me regardless of whatever Tommy had to do in the process.

NXT beat AEW Dynamite, 718,000 viewers to 681,000 viewers. So are the Wednesday Night Wars on again?

The WWE Developmental Brand beat AEW’s main show. It doesn’t matter, but I’m sure that fans will go nuts about the numbers and get all tribal because that’s what wrestling fans do. So are the wars back on? Sure. Why not?

What are your thoughts on the current WWE pricing strategy for international events?

They’re charging big bucks and setting new records with every show. It isn’t fair to the fans, but so long as they keep paying, I suspect WWE will keep charging the higher prices and running the big shows. Whatever works, right?

And there you go. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
