It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m your resident party host and Guiding Light, Doug. And this is how we do it. Let’s roll.

Scapegoat Jack Perry versus Chad Gable. Who wins?

Both men are similar in size, but that’s where the similarities end. Gable is the better wrestler, both amateur and professional, and would most likely dominate this match. Perry would have a good match and be entertaining, but I have no doubts that Gable would win.

“Half the roster is gone because of us!” – Nicholas Jackson. Thoughts?

This a worked-shoot comment that is unfortunately far too true. The unfortunate part is that the majority of wrestlers who have left AEW, be it as a result of the Young Bucks or other reasons, were not the ones that AEW needed to lose or get rid of. CM Punk, The Hardy Boys, Ethan Page, Mark Henry, Arn Anderson, Brock Anderson, Brian Pillman Jr., Andrade, Alan Angels, Fuego Del Sol, Sting, possibly Ricky Starks, and many others. And Nick Jackson is bragging about this? There is nothing that I can say. All I can do is shake my head.

How has Ava been doing as the General Manager of NXT, in your opinion?

She’s been doing okay, I would guess, but I honestly keep forgetting that she’s the GM of NXT. She doesn’t have the presence of William Regal, Nick Aldis, or even Adam Pearce. She’s just kind of there. I guess this is better than watching her try to wrestle, but thus far, her performance as the GM of NXT has been less than impressive.

What female wrestler, current or former, do you think is all looks and no skill?

The first name that came to mind was Eva Marie. Except for the looks, she brought nothing to the table that I could see. Nothing!

Cactus Jack versus Sammy Guevera. Who wins?

Sammy would take a beating and 1/2, but if I remember correctly, Cactus Jack’s thing was brutality and chaos, but normally losing the match in the end. Sammy has potential and could be a huge star one day, but he needs to slow down, think things out, and cut back on the high-risk moves. Cactus would give Sammy a wrestling lesson and teach him many things but would allow Sammy to get the win at the end of the match.

There have been creative pitches within WWE to bring back the old WWE Bad Blood PPV title. Thoughts?

Bad Blood was the PPV home of the first Hell in the Cell match. It’s a good name for a PPV event and having WWE bring it back, would be pretty cool.

Raven recently said that he doesn’t think he’ll ever be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame because “Vince hated me without any reason”. Thoughts?

What and who Vince hated doesn’t matter much these days. It’s Triple H making the decisions now. If Raven is worthy and can find a way to put a bug into Hunter’s ear, anything is possible, even an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. Never say never, especially in the WWE.

Playboy Buddy Rose versus Ricochet. Who wins?

Man, what a match this would be. Rose was surprisingly quick and agile, especially for his size. And Ricochet is amazing in almost everything he does. Buddy was the classic old-school heel, while Ric is always a crowd favorite. Tough call here, but I think, with some aid from his long-time tag team partner Col. DeBeers, Buddy would end up stealing the win.

What should WWE do to make the Speed Championship matter?

Honestly, I had already forgotten that this title even existed. To make it matter, how about the occasional mention or title defense on television or at the PLEs? I know it’s supposed to be a Twitter/X-only deal but to make it matter, it needs more exposure than just X.

And there you go—my thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, I’m out of here. Stay well and watch out for foreign objects. I’ll see you at the matches.
