It’s the only wrestling Q&A that matters, the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m your party host and Guiding Light, Doug, and I answer the questions that the other wrestling sites are afraid to tackle. Let’s roll.

Has Jack Perry had a better return to AEW than CM Punk has had with WWE?

Jack Perry made his return as the Scapegoat, and I’ll admit it. This is the best Jack Perry I can ever remember seeing. It’s the biggest push of his career, and he’s been killing it. CM Punk suffered an injury almost immediately after returning to WWE but has stayed relevant, and the back-and-forth with Drew McIntyre has been fantastic. I’ll give the edge to CM Punk, but Perry has done extremely well too.

Bobby Eaton versus Raven. Who wins?

Bobby Eaton may be considered a tag team wrestler, but he was so damn good inside that ring. And Raven? His career speaks for itself. This would be an excellent match. Raven would probably get the victory, but Bobby would look like a million bucks, make Raven look like a million bucks, and the match would steal the show.

With Goldberg being open to one final match, who would you have to be the ideal final opponent?

If Goldberg has his final match under the AEW banner, I would probably go with Samoa Joe as his final match. If WWE promoted the match, Grayson Waller would probably be the guy.

What do you think of the Russo Era in WCW?

I remember it well and it was hit-and-miss for me. I was happy to see the younger talent get a strong push from the company and have a chance at the spotlight. I didn’t like the Russo character and how he became more and more of the focus as time went on. The crash TV was an exciting time and fun to watch, but sometimes it was too much and the stuff didn’t make sense. Russo deserves more credit than he usually gets as he did shake things up at WCW and the majority of it was, in my opinion, for the better. The cringe stuff was really bad though and there was very little gray area. But I liked it more than I hated it.

What’s objectively worse: Tony Khan’s booking or WWE continuing to gladly and shamelessly accept millions of dollars directly from a totalitarian foreign government that oppresses women, murders journalists, kills LGBTQ people, and severely curtails free speech and political dissent?

I guess it depends on what you’re looking for. From a business standpoint, it’s great business for WWE to work with the Saudis and do the regular events. From a moral standpoint, it’s a little more dicey. The Saudis are a corrupt leadership and so much of what they seem to promote is against what we hold dear here in America. But our leadership and government are corrupt too and maybe the Saudi citizens are condemning their government for doing business with the corrupt and immoral United States. I prefer to think that it’s just business and people in glass houses shouldn’t judge. Just take the money, be happy, and keep on keeping on.

From any era, who is on your Survivor Series dream team?

For me, the ultimate fantasy dream team for a Survivor Series team would be The Midnight Express (Eaton & Lane) w/ Jim Cornette, The Masked Superstar, and The Anderson Brothers (Ole & Gene). The two best tag teams of all time, plus the greatest masked wrestler of all time, all together as one unit. They would be unstoppable.

Kevin Kelly recently stated that he’s planning on suing AEW and possibly Ian Riccaboni for his termination and possibly libel. Thoughts?

I honestly don’t think that Kelly has much of a case, based on the little I’ve heard, but to be honest, he probably doesn’t need one. Rather than go to court and risk exposure about backstage life at AEW, Tony Khan would probably just reach out and make a settlement, along with a Non-Disclosure Agreement of course. I might be wrong, but I think that’s what Kelly may be banking on. We’ll just have to wait and see.

If Cody Rhodes never came to WWE, who would have been the one to dethrone Roman Reigns eventually? Or would he STILL be the champion?

Roman would have lost the title by now. Of that, I’m sure. Who would have dethroned the champion? I have no idea, but I think Randy Orton seems the most likely candidate.

Who should Wyatt Sick6 target next?

Main Event Jey Uso tried to hijack the Fire Flies. I think that puts a huge target on his back.

Is Uncle Howdy World Champion material?

As of right now, I would say no. But as time progresses and we see and learn more about the character, who knows? It’s too early to truly tell.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
