It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. Let’s roll.

Who benefitted from the J A S group?

The JAS, aka The Jericho Appreciation Society, was about and for the benefit of Chris Jericho and no one else. Sammy Guevera may have gotten a good bump from his association with the faction, but did anyone else? Not that I can see.

Damian Priest versus Hangman Adam Page. Who wins?

My money would be on the leader of the Judgment Day when Mami isn’t around, Damian Priest.

Is Daniel Garcia vs MJF an All-In Worthy match for you?

I like Daniel Garcia, and he has a big future ahead of him, but when he and MJF started talking about All In, I felt a huge letdown. This is a Dynamite match at best, or maybe a B-show PPV. I had recollections of Hulk Hogan versus The Butcher, or whatever name Ed Leslie was using at the time, headlining Starcade. The biggest event of the year with a C-show main event. It just doesn’t work for me, brother.

Rhea Ripley and Buddy Matthews got married. Thoughts?

Congratulations to Buddy and Rhea and best wishes for a long and prosperous marriage, with continued success for both.

Should Rey Mysterio do a heel run in WWE before he retires?

It would be interesting to see happen, maybe in an attempt to reunite with son Dominik, but I can’t see it working or going over very well. Rey, with his size and underdog status, is a natural babyface and the fans would never buy it with a heel Mysterio.

Why do you think Tony Khan doesn’t use Wardlow? What about Ricky Starks and Sammy Guevera?

Tony doesn’t know what to do with these guys to book a strong and consistent story. Wardlow has been on and off again when Tony remembers that he’s part of the roster and needs a monster. Starks? No one can explain why he’s not being used. I’ve heard stories about an alleged incident in Canada, but I think it has more to do with Stark’s ties to Cody Rhodes than anything else. As for Sammy, I think Tony likes him and would use him, but Sammy has been involved in several backstage incidents, has injured other wrestlers, and has that little issue with Mercedes Mone’ where he stupidly said in an interview that he’d like to rape her. Sammy is just walking drama and so Tony is letting him stay at home to play Daddy with little Luna.

Who would be on your Mt. Rushmore of midget/dwarf wrestlers?

Dylan Postl, aka Hornswoggle, would be one. The legendary Lord Littlebrook would be there. And let’s just put Diamond Lil’ and Sky Low Low as the other two, mainly because I can’t think of anyone else. Diamond Lil’ lived with Moolah and Mae so, just for that, she deserves the honor.

Mr. Fuji & Toru Tanaka versus “Number One” Paul Jones & Baron Von Raschke. Who wins?

Two classic old-school tag teams, this would be a great match for fans of 70s-style wrestling. The wicked Japanese versus Jones and the Baron. I’d love to see it anyhow. If this happened in WWWF, we’d have Captain Lou Albano get involved and Fuji and Tanaka would win. If it happened anywhere else, Jones and the Baron would win. And if I was the booker, I’d go with Jones and the Baron as well.

Lacey Evans recently spoke about making a return to pro wrestling. Would you like to see Evans return to the business? If so, where?

I liked Lacey Evans and always enjoyed the sassy Southern blonde character. If she was to return to pro wrestling, I would be interested in seeing it happen. As to where I think she burned some bridges in WWE/NXT, and by association, that might prevent TNA from being an option, at least currently. So Lacey Evans to AEW? That would work for me. They could use the talent boost on the roster and she would be a huge asset for the company.

If Jim Cornette were to come back to WWE for a one-night return, who would you put him with for that event?

Cornette would never do it, but if it was to happen for a one-night-only return, maybe to counter Paul Heyan’s presence in a match, I’d have him return with CM Punk to face Roman Reigns. That would make for some awesome television and professional wrestling.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s close it up for today. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for that tossed salt by the evil Japanese wrestlers, INDEED, and I’ll see you at the matches.
