The American Love Machine, Art Barr versus Sami Zayn. Who wins?

Art Barr, a name I haven’t thought about in years. Barr was a mainstay in AAA and a tremendous wrestler, probably best known for teaming up with a very young Eddie Guerrero at the joint AAA/WCW PPV When Worlds Collide. He was also known as a wildman outside the ring. But that aside, he was charismatic and a damn good wrestler. And Sami? He’s the current WWE Intercontinental Champion and that honor speaks for itself. This would be an incredible match. It’s a tough call, but most likely Zayn would win. He’d have to fight hard for that victory though.

So Adam Page was Jeff Jarrett’s mystery opponent in the Owen Hart Tournament and pretty much destroyed Jarrett. Thoughts?

I’m mixed on this one. Jeff, given his history with Owen, was the sentimental favorite and it would have been a nice feather in his cap. But it also brought Adam Page back with a strong impact and quickly elevated his character as one of the top guys again. I see why AEW booked it this way. I don’t like it much, but I get it.

Does Willow Nightingale remind you of PN News? I can’t help but think of him when I see her on TV.

No, she doesn’t. Unlike PN News, Willow seems to have talent and I’ve never heard anything about her lifting stuff from the boys in the locker room. I don’t see any comparison between Willow and News at all.

Could you ever see Pac as being The Guy one day, aka a believable AEW World Champion?

I don’t see it. Pac is a fantastic wrestler and has all the tools, but I don’t see him as a top guy. A strong mid-card wrestler for sure. And if there’s a Cruiserweight Division, he would be among the top talents for that. But as a World Heavyweight Champion? I don’t see it.

Muhammad Hassan w/ Daivari versus Matt Cardona. Who wins?

Mark Copani says he’s retired, but this is a match I could see happening, maybe for GCW as a one-off. And with the great characters involved, it would be awesome. Imagine the promos. Cardona is usually a heel, but he’d be cheered for this one. This would just be fun to see. And I think Matt would win.

Fatal 4-Way Match: Bruno & David Sammartino versus Ric & David Flair versus Arn & Brock Anderson versus Rey & Dominik Mysterio. Who wins?

There are so many legends in this match, but then again, their sons are there too. Bruno and David were both strong in the ring. Arn is great, but Brock is still learning. He’s getting better with every match though. Ric and David Flair? I don’t think they’re even on speaking terms these days, but David wasn’t made to be a pro wrestler. And Rey & Dom. We all know how that story goes. I’d have to go with the Sammartinos winning this match. It’d be a hard one to watch, but still hard to turn away from. Yeah, Bruno and David, aka Bruno Jr. win.

What comes to mind when you think of TNA Impact Wrestling?

My mind goes way back and Jim Cornette showing up on TV and doing a talent meeting with Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner, Earl Hebner, Team Canada, Zbyszko, and several others. It keeps popping up in my YouTube mix and is one of my favorite TNA moments.

Pat McAfee or Nigel McGuiness? Who’s the better announcer?

Nigel is a good announcer, but Pat McAfee is growing on me and I love the energy he brings to WWE every week. I’ll go with Pat for this one.

Ryback is now claiming that Triple H used to change match plans behind Vince’s back just to bury him on purpose. Thoughts?

Consider the source. Ryback says. Who cares what Ryback says?

Kurt Angle versus Drew McIntyre. Who wins?

Kurt in his prime was a wrestling machine. And Drew is just damn good. This would be an interesting match that could go either way. I think that most likely, Kurt would be booked to win. It would be tainted in some way and not a clean pin, but Kurt would win.
