Thoughts & Predictions

WWE will present Money in the Bank this Saturday, July 5 on Peacock and the WWE Network from Toronto, Ontario Canada. Here is my take on what will happen on Saturday. Let’s roll.
Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Drew McIntyre versus Jey Uso versus Chad Gable versus Carmelo Hayes versus LA Knight versus Andrade
This match is wide open and a strong case can be made for every person involved in the match winning that briefcase. That being said, let’s take out the one who won’t be winning. I don’t see Carmelo Hayes or Andrade winning. They’re certainly capable enough, but I don’t see it happening. Drew would be good, but I expect either CM Punk or even better, AJ Lee, to get involved and put a stop to his MITB contract dreams. That leaves LA Knight, Chad Gable, and Jey Uso. I think there may be a Wyatt-related problem for Gable and Jey Uso that would prevent them from capturing that elusive victory. So that leaves LA Knight by process of elimination. He wouldn’t be my choice, but the odds are with him, and at the end of the night, he should be Mr. Money in the Bank. Yeah!
Winner and NEW Mr. Money in the Bank: LA Knight
Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Lyra Valkyria versus Iyo Sky versus Zoey Stark versus Tiffany Stratton versus Naomi versus Chelsea Green.
This match is even more wide open than the Men’s match and a strong argument can be made for every woman participating in the match. But none of that matters because the choice is obvious. Chelsea Green is winning that briefcase and becoming Miss Money in the Bank.
Winner and NEW Miss Money in the Bank: Chelsea Green.
Damian Priest versus Seth Rollins for the World Championship.
This match has the stipulations that if Priest retains his title, Seth doesn’t get another title shot so long as Priest is Champion, and if Seth wins, Priest has to quit Judgment Day. I’m not ready for Priest to quit Judgment Day yet and he still needs that one huge win to cement his legacy and role as the World Champion. I expect we’ll see Judgment Day, and most likely LivMorgan, get involved, despite Priest’s objections. This should be an amazing match. I think Seth should come just so very close, but in the end, look for the Champion to keep the gold.
Winner and STILL WWE World Champion: Damian Priest.
Sami Zayn versus Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship.
Sami has been great as the Intercontinental Champion, but let’s be serious here. Bron is a wrestling machine with a rocket strapped to his back. That title belt will be changing hands.
Winner and NEW Intercontinental Champion: Bron Breakker.
Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens versus The Bloodline.
It’s too early to have Paul Heyman back and seeking revenge, but I’m sure that Paul’s allies are watching the match and will be taking notes, maybe even causing a distraction or two. This match is going to be a crazy brawl from start to finish. Will we see a new Bloodline member debut? Will we see a former Bloodline member, maybe Jimmy Uso, show up? The booking has been so great with this, anything can happen. The Bloodline has the advantage with the numbers game. It’s just going to be chaos personified. It can go either way, but I’ll go on Solo and Friends to win.
Winners: The Bloodline
And there you go. This should be a fantastic PLE from start to finish. I am so looking forward to this event. So what do you think? What are your predictions? Let me know your thoughts and comments. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Enjoy the PLE tomorrow and I’ll see you at the matches.
