It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug and this is where nothing is off limits. You’ve got the questions and I have the answers. Let’s roll.

The ‘Motor City Machine Guns’ are expected to sign with WWE.
— WON. Thoughts?

And a few weeks ago, they were expected to sign with AEW. The moral of this story is don’t believe it until you see it happen. And if it’s wrestling or politics, don’t believe it either. The MCMG will do better, in my opinion, under the auspices of Triple H and HBK than in AEW. If it happens, it should be fun to watch.

Dory Funk Jr., age 83, will be wrestling again in a match for NJPW. Thoughts?

It’ll be part of a six-man tag match at an event to honor his late brother, Terry Funk. Dory is still in great shape and regularly trains wrestlers at his Funking Dojo so I imagine he’ll show up, land a few forearms, and let the others do most of the wrestling. This isn’t a Ric Flair scenario. Funk is still capable of working a spot or two.

Ric Flair allegedly proposed a different finish for Sting’s retirement match with Ric turning on Sting at the end of the match. Thoughts?

I heard this and my first thought was that it’s all about Flair. Ric is just looking for a way to keep the spotlight on himself, even if it’s Sting’s big moment and final match. I’m glad AEW told him no.

Who is more bitter? Bret Hart or Kevin Nash?

Since the death of his best friend, Scott Hall, as well as his son, Tristan, Nash seems to get more and more bitter each week, but he tries to hide it, at least part of the time. Bret is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be, at being bitter and holding a grudge. Just ask Bill Goldberg. Bret wins this one.

Thoughts on Hulk Hogan’s speech at the RNC?

It was vintage Hulk Hogan, straight from the 80s, and it was far better than I was expecting. Hogan has a lot of issues, but there was a reason he was so well known and that Hulkamania ran wild for so long. He showed us that reason on Thursday night.

In a recent interview, Scott Steiner claims that he never took steroids. Is Steiner telling the truth?

I have my doubts as to the truthfulness of that statement, but I’m not dumb enough to call Scott Steiner a liar. If that’s what he says, so be it. Steiner never tested positive for steroids that we know of.

The Sandman versus Nikita Koloff. Who wins?

The Sandman is a hardcore icon, but Nikita is the Russian Nightmare. Nikita wins.

The New Day versus The Fabulous Freebirds. Who wins?

The New Day would learn that the farther down the street you go, the worse it would get. Look for Jimmy Garvin, Badstreet, and Big Daddy Dink to all get involved with distractions. It’s the numbers game and Terry Gordy would end up laying out Kofi for a very tainted victory.

WWE referenced classic fan opinion on Nia Jax during SmackDown. Was this the right call?

It’s the elephant in the room about how unathletic and clumsy Nia was in her earlier run and while I can see how it might be too much, it’s part of the story between Bayley and Nia. It wouldn’t have been my preference, but whatever works, right?

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. I need to go wash some clothes. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
