Ring of Honor will present the 2024 Death Before Dishonor PPV tonight on WatchROH.com from Arlington, Texas. That means it’s prediction time. Let’s do this.

ROH Champion Mark Briscoe vs. Roderick Strong.

Man, that was a nasty chair shot that Briscoe gave to Jack Perry this past Wednesday night. Ouch! And now, two nights later, Briscoe is defending the ROH Championship against Roderick Strong. This should be a good match. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Perry interfere to get some retribution for that chair shot. I’m expecting a new champion.

Winner and NEW ROH Champion: Roderick Strong.

ROH Women’s Champion Athena vs. Queen Aminata.

I can’t remember. Was Athena faking her injury or just stalling for time between matches while she legit healed? It doesn’t matter. Athena is a character with a story. Aminata is just another name on the roster. Athena retains.

Winner and STILL ROH Women’s Champion: Athena.

ROH Women’s Television Champion Billie Starkz vs. Red Velvet.

I had forgotten that there was even an ROH Women’s TV Champion. I guess it’s because they don’t have any regular TV shows. My bad! I have no idea here so I’ll just flip a coin. Heads for Starkz and tails for Red. Tails it is. New Champion coming.

Winner and NEW ROH Women’s TV Champion: Red Velvet.

ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta vs. Lee Moriarty.

So this is where Yuta has vanished to? I thought he was still doing videos jumping onto barbed wire and microwaves. Yes, that was a Super Huuman reference. Look at those two. Has anyone ever seen both of them in the same room at the same time? They’re the same person. So I guess this match is for all the Juggalos out there. Moriarty is a good wrestler, but he’s losing tonight.

Winner and STILL ROH Pure Champion: Wheeler Yuta.

Texas Death Match: Diamante vs. Leyla Hirsh.

The women are in a Texas Death Match. This is not the Ring of Honor I remember. Oy vey! Who’s the heel? Who’s the face? Who cares? I’ll go with Leyla Hirsh for this one.

Winner: Leyla Hirsh.

ROH TV Champion Atlantis Jr vs. Lio Rush vs. Shane Taylor vs. Johnny TV vs. Brian Cage vs. Lee Johnson – Survival of the Fittest.

A television championship title for a promotion that doesn’t even have a television program to call its own. This should be a good match and the talent involved is very impressive. All of the men have a chance and it wouldn’t be an upset for any of these guys to walk out with the title. Let’s go with Johnny TV. He is the most natural fit to be the TV Champion. Hell, it’s even part of his name.

Winner and NEW ROH TV Champion: Johnny TV.

ROH Tag Team Champions Mike Bennett & Matt Taven vs. Kyle O’Reilly & Tomohiro Ishii.

Is Maria Kanellis still with Bennet & Taven? I seem to recall her being out of action not long ago for some reason. I guess it doesn’t matter. Let’s keep this one short and simple. The champs retain.

Winners and STILL ROH Tag Team Champions: Mike Bennett & Matt Taven.

Komander vs. Mortos.

I don’t even know who Mortos is. I know Komander though. He had a big push that lasted for about three weeks on the AEW roster and now, here he is in a nothing match at ROH. How the mighty have fallen. Komander is the bigger name and would fit right in on a GI Joe movie set. Komander wins.

Winner: Komander

Dustin Rhodes & Von Erichs vs. Dark Order.

I am a huge fan of the Dark Order, but Evil Uno and the guys are going to have a long night of it. They’re in Texas and wrestling not only a Rhodes but two honest-to-God Von Erich boys as well. If the Von Erichs lost, there would be civil unrest and riots throughout the land. Dustin and The Von Erichs win.

Winners: Dustin Rhodes & The Von Erichs, Ross & Marshall.
