It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. Are you ready? Let’s roll.
You are the promoter, and the fans want a bloodbath. Who’s facing each other in your main event?
For the bloodiest match possible by today’s standards, I’d go with Jon Moxley versus Tommy Dreamer. Moxley loves to bleed and Dreamer can always be counted on for a crimson mask so this one would be guaranteed gore.
There is much speculation online that Becky Lynch may be retiring and not planning on returning to WWE. Thoughts?
Becky is a new Mom and doesn’t need the money so if she decides to retire for a while, so be it—more power to her. I prefer to think of it as just taking some time off for a while, but when the itch comes back, so will she, most likely in time for Wrestlemania.
The Wyatt Sick6 (Erick Rowan, Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy) w/ Nikki Cross & Bo Dallas versus The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, JD McDonough, Dominik Mysterio) w/ Carlito & Liv Morgan. Who wins?
This would be an awesome match and hopefully, we’ll see it happen sooner rather than later, especially with both factions on the same brand. It’s almost inevitable. Judgment Day lost two of its most powerful members, Rhea Ripley & Damian Priest, so they’re at a disadvantage. I’d go with the Wyatts to win this fight.
Is Triple H’s PPV formula working for you?
I’d prefer to see the number of matches increase from 5 to maybe 7 per show, but less is more and it seems to be going well for WWE. Yes, I approve of the Triple H – 5 Match PLE formula.
Do you think that Dave Meltzer is on Tony Khan’s payroll?
In terms of an actual paycheck, I doubt it. But enjoying the benefits of being a friend of Tony’s, scoops, and maybe a plane ride here and there, most definitely.
Rhea Ripley commented that she’d love to have a run at the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Thoughts?
I don’t particularly care for the idea myself, but if Rhea wants to do it, she is very capable and I wouldn’t bet against her.
Bronson Reed destroyed Seth Rollins on RAW. Thoughts?
This makes Reed look like a major star, plus it allows Seth to take some time off and heal up nagging injuries, plus gives him a strong feud when he returns. It’s Wrestling 101 and I like it.
Is Odyssey Jones more of a modern-day Mark Henry or a modern-day Mabel?
I haven’t seen enough of Jones in the ring as of yet to decide. He’s a big black guy. I’d have to see more matches first before I can start making comparisons to others.
Triple H tells you to pick the inductees for the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame. Who would you name for this class, plus six “Legacy” inductees?
For legacy inductees, I’d go with Penny Banner, Ole & Gene Anderson, Kevin Sullivan, Jim Crockett Jr., and Sweet Daddy Siki. So far as the regular inductions, my list would include Ivan Koloff, The Midnight Express with Jim Cornette, Ken Shamrock, Victoria, Dutch Mantell, and The Hardy Boyz.
Sable versus Liv Morgan. Who wins?
Is this a floozy on a pole match? Sable knew like five moves in total but did them well. I’m sure that Brock has taught her many other moves over the years as well. Liv is an okay wrestler, but just makes me cringe more often than not. I’d go with Morgan to win this one.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
