It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m your resident party host and Guiding Light, Doug, and this is where all the wrestling questions come into play. Nothing is off limits or out of bounds. You’ve got questions and I have the answers. So are you ready? Let’s roll.

Chelsea Green recently stated that her husband, Matt Cardona’s heart “lies with WWE”. Do you think Cardona will return to WWE before the year ends? If so, when?

I’m not sure if he’ll be back in WWE before the end of the year, but I do think a return at the Royal Rumble is a strong possibility. And considering their history, a match against John Cena during his retirement tour is likely as well. Cardona has done everything there is to do on the Indy scene. It’s time for a return to the WWE. It’s not if anymore, but just when.

AEW has reportedly signed a contract with Tommy Billington, The Dynamite Kid. Thoughts?

It makes sense since he’s been working with them for the past few months and Billington is a name, sort of. He’s a new toy for Tony Khan to play with until he gets bored and moves on. Congratulations to Billington for the exposure and a regular job.

There are rumors that Judgment Day may be rebranded as ‘Street Trash’. Thoughts?

I saw that and I hope the rumors are not true. That name is kind of a let-down and reminds me too much of the Filthy Animals from WCW. That name sucked too. Judgment Day needs to keep the name they currently have. They’ve built the brand and it works. No changes are necessary or required.

Which ex-WWE wrestler that went to AEW has been utilized the best and has found the most success?

Some of the early signings like Moxley and Danielson have had success, as have Billy Gunn and Christian. But they’re the exceptions and not the general rule as to how AEW has affected careers. Look at Miro, Alastair Black, Cesaro, Mercedes Monet, Ruby Soho, Edge, Big Show, etc. What worked in the beginning isn’t working anymore. Who’s been used the best and has found the most success? I’ll say, Christian Cage.

Candice Michelle was visiting at RAW and in the audience. Thoughts on Michelle and would you like to see her come back to WWE for one more match?

I remember Michelle and she was a decent worker. She wasn’t great, but she was solid in the ring and had some success. As for a return, Candice is 45 years old and hasn’t wrestled regularly since 2017. I doubt she’s interested in making a return to the ring at this point in her life.

In your opinion, do you believe Anna Jay will be a multi-time world champion in AEW?

I think Anna Jay has peaked for her run in AEW and gone about as far as she’s going to go. She’s adequate in the ring, but she’s not what I would consider a major talent. I don’t see any major titles in her future.

Bron Breakker vs Goldberg at WrestleMania 41 for the intercontinental championship. Title vs Career. Yes or no?

It makes sense and would be a good match, to give Goldberg that retirement match he wants so badly. It’d also be a good note on the resume for Breakker to beat a wrestling legend and retire Goldberg. Plus they have a past & history. It works for me. Book it, Triple H.

Timeless Toni Storm versus Victoria. Who wins?

As much as I hate to say it, Storm is the better wrestler overall and I like the character work of her Timeless persona. Victoria was awesome in the day and can go with anyone and make it look good. I think Storm would win this one though.

Sid Vicious thinks he still has something to offer WWE, maybe a return as a manager? Thoughts?

While I can see Sid doing a cameo during a special edition of one of the shows or a PLE, I just can’t see him as a regular character in the current WWE. Sid is a legend and all that, but I just don’t see him as a manager. I don’t think it would work.

Have you watched Cody Rhodes’ interview show, What Do You Wanna Talk About yet? How do you like it so far? Who would you like to see Cody interview on the show?

I like it. Cody is a good interviewer, and it tends to be more of a conversation between friends and work associates than a hardcore interview. All of the plugs for Wheatley’s Vodka tend to get a little old rather quickly. And just for the record, I’ve worked the past ten years in a liquor store. I’ve tried the Wheatly’s Vodka. It’s not the worst vodka out there, but it’s far from the best either. Stick with the Tito’s vodka, or if you’re on a budget, go with Skye or Pinnacle vodka. All three are far better than Wheatley’s. As for the show, Cody is good and has a style similar to Chris Van Vliet where it’s more of a conversation than an interview. The show is worth a listen.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up for now. I’ll probably be back later this afternoon with more stuff. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
