It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug and I need a long vacation. Or a bottle of Jack Daniels. Let’s roll.
What do you think of Randy Orton signing a new extension with the WWE?
It’s not a big surprise. Randy is WWE for life and will probably stay with WWE long after his in-ring career is over.
Sammy Guevera & Dustin Rhodes are the new ROH Tag Team Champions. Thoughts?
This is Sammy’s first tag team title in AEW and Dustin’s second. He also holds the ROH Six Man Tag Team Championship with the Von Erichs. My guess is a title to keep Sammy relevant in ROH and allow Dustin to keep Sammy, who has been suspended several times during his AEW/ROH career, in line. Regardless of why, this is an interesting but good tag team. Both men are popular with the fans. It’ll be worth watching to see how this goes.
Tony Khan talking about the leaked photo with Shane McMahon: “I think somebody who works at the airport. We were just talking in the airport lounge, having a real nice chat as the photo evidenced, and somebody just walked in like they were on their phone, ‘Oops, sorry,’ and then walked away. I think that’s probably what it was. It wasn’t that slick.” Thoughts?
I guess Tony didn’t see where Mercedes Mone admitted to taking the photo. He can’t even keep the stories straight. This is a work shoot that Tony is using to keep people talking and nothing more.
Who is the Most overrated tag team in the current era?
You already know the answer. Superkick City and tag team champions in AEW, but only one defense in over four months. It’s Matthew and Nicholas, aka The Young Bucks.
What are the first words that come to mind when you hear the name Logan Paul?
Charisma. The dude has it 100%. He’s also tremendously athletic and has an aura about him that makes him stand out from the crowd. A talented dude.
Should Jay White win the AEW Heavyweight Title?
White came into AEW looking like a star and now, he’s just another guy who’s part of a joke-faction and any momentum he’s had has been killed. He could still be the AEW Champion at some point, but he needs to find a way to kickstart his character first.
Great Kabuki versus Jacob Fatu. Who wins?
This would be an interesting and fun match. It’s a tough call, but I think I’ll go with Fatu on this one.
WWE has been teasing a split between Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods. Is this something you want to see?
I would love to see Woods get a good run as a singles and as a heel. The New Day has been around for a while and it’s stale and played out at this point. I want to see Woods enjoy some success on his own.
What match are you personally looking forward to the most at All In?
Probably Will Ospreay versus MJF. These two guys can go and like them or not, it’ll be a solid match and a true banger.
What do you make of the WWE/TNA relationship? Do you see it as a long-term thing? How would you like to see it work, and who would you like to see benefit from it most?
I think it’s a good thing. It’s essentially using TNA as a developmental/feeder system for WWE, but the ratings and live attendance for TNA have improved, plus it adds some drama and excitement to WWE/NXT as well. I’d like to see it continue.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s close up for now. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
