I’m Doug and this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. And with this, I’m finally caught up. Send me questions. And now, let’s roll.

Describe CM Punk with less than five words.

Charismatic, talented, Best in the world.

Cedric Alexander has signed a new contract extension and is staying with WWE. Thoughts?

I guess we now know who the replacement for Odyssey Jones in the New Day breakup storyline will be. But in all seriousness, good for Alexander. He’s a talented wrestler and has a lot of potential, but hasn’t been used well since the Hurt Business story. Hopefully, his time is coming.

Attorney Stephen P. New says Tony Khan has paid Jim Ross “a lot of money to do nothing for about five years now”. Thoughts?

It’s a rough statement, but New is not lying. Ross is an all-time legendary announcer and having him as part of the AEW roster is a huge plus for the company. But that being said, through no fault of his own, Ross has spent more time sick or out of action than he’s been available to work. And his work has been less than par more often than not. A tough comment, but it’s not wrong.

How long before Rhea Ripley & Dominik Mysterio reunite? Will it be as heels or baby faces?

I’d give it at least a year or more, but when Rhea and Dom eventually reunite, it’ll blow the roof off the building and be one of the most exciting and hottest wrestling moments of all time.

Thoughts and memories of Ricky Steamboat & Jay Youngblood.

One of the best tag teams in early 80s territory wrestling. The matches they had against teams like the Brisco Brothers or Slaughter & Kernodle were outstanding examples of tag team classics that would still hold up today. Steamboat was the established star on the rise, while Jay was the sidekick who never had much success anywhere else, but they clicked as a team and it was magic. One of my favorite childhood tag teams for sure.

The Skyscrapers (Sid Vicious & Dan Spivey) w/ Teddy Long versus The Moondogs (Rex & King) w/ Captain Lou Albano. Who wins?

The Moondogs would control most of the match with their chaos, but the end result would be a powerbomb and victory by Sid and his partner, Spivey.

Now that Jacqueline has signed a new Legends Deal, should WWE bring the Hall of Famer in as an agent or manager?

If I recall correctly, Jackie has already worked in the past for WWE as a producer, as well as a trainer. If she wants a job with WWE, I’m sure the door is always open. At this point in her life, my assumption is that Jackie would prefer a quiet life at home rather than the hassles of life on the road. If a possibility for something comes up, great, but I doubt she’s interested in anything major.

If there was an arm wrestling tournament of professional wrestlers, who would be the favorites, and who would win? Use wrestlers of any era.

The favorites would be guys like The Barbarian, The Warlord, Braun Strowman, Odyssey Jones, Mark Henry, and John Cena. And the winner, Scott “Flash” Norton. Norton won several arm wrestling championships throughout his career so he’s always going to be a top contender.

If Triple H asked you to book a Gimmick Battle Royal with 21 stars from days past, who would you book for the match? Use any stars not currently under contract to AEW who would be able to make the show? And who would win?

Twenty-one stars who could realistically still go in 2024 and look legit, but are not under an AEW contract and would stir an interest that the wrestling fans would want to see, even if only for one match. Let’s go with Haku, The Barbarian, Nikita Koloff, Scotty 2 Hotty, Val Venis, Rikishi, Buff Bagwell, Scott Steiner, Stevie Ray, Ken Shamrock, Disco Inferno, Broken Matt Hardy, The Hurricane, Tatanka, Enzo Amore, Charlie Haas, The Sandman, Heath Slater, Rhyno, RVD, and Tommy Dreamer. As for the winner, I’d go with Matt Hardy. Everyone else would be DELETED!

Jon Moxley is the modern-day equivalent of Stone Cold Steve Austin, but tougher and a better professional wrestler. Yes or no?

Jon Moxley is a unique and talented guy, but he can’t hold Steve Austin’s can of whoop-ass or beer. So that would be a no.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. I need questions so send them to me. I’m finally caught up. And now, it’s breakfast time. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
