It looks as if AEW finally has a deal with WBD. AEW’s new media deal with WBD “looks like” it will be a 4-year deal: 3 years guaranteed with a 1-year option. $170M per year or “in the ballpark.” AEW will air on TNT, TBS, and TruTV twice per week, as part of a strategy to make TruTV more sports-oriented. Thoughts?

If all of this is true, good for AEW. They get to keep the lights on for a few more years. It doesn’t sound like the perfect deal, but it’s better than what they had. 4 shows instead of the current three? I hope Tony hires some experienced bookers and gives them some control and authority. This is all well and good, but my thoughts are if Tony and AEW can even last four more years. I guess we’ll just have to watch and see.

Big Bill, fka Big Cass, versus Viscera. Who wins?

A battle of the big men. This would be an interesting clash of styles. I think Big Bill would score the win.

Did you see the Bronson Reed/Braun Strowman craziness on RAW this past Monday? Thoughts?

That was some wild & crazy stuff. They’re giving this Braun versus Reed feud a slow build and keeping both men strong. I like it.

Over 100 days have passed since Becky Lynch’s last appearance on TV. Do you think she’s coming back to WWE?

I think Becky is enjoying getting some rest and playing Mom. When she’s ready to come back, she will. And it will be with WWE. I have no doubts about that.

Do you think Giulia will defeat Roxanne Perez when NXT goes to CW? Or will Roxanne get through her and then have to face Stephanie Vaquer and Delta?

Thus far, in her brief time in NXT, Giulia has been impressive. She’s definitely something special. But I don’t see her winning the championship at the first opportunity. Perez is doing an excellent job as the champion and I think a longer feud between these two women would work wonders for both women in building their character. So no title yet for Giulia. She will most likely win the match, but Perez will find a way to keep the belt.

Do you think a character like Damien Sandow (when he originally debuted/won MITB) would get over in the current WWE product?

Sandow would get over and be successful, even in today’s WWE. The cream rises to the top and Sandow is damn good.

Val Venis thinks Kenny Omega is gay. Thoughts?

And it matters how? I liked Venis as a wrestler and he was a good character in the WWE, but the man has issues and tends to be a bit out there. He also thinks The Rock, Triple H, Vince McMahon, and Stephanie were all participants in the Puff Daddy sex parties. Is Omega gay? Who cares. And why is Val so worried about it?

Joe Tessitore or Excalibur. Who’s the better announcer?

Tessitore may be new to the world of professional wrestling as an announcer, but he still can run circles around Excalibur. Yes, the masked man of AEW is truly that bad. Mike Adamle could do a better job calling the matches.
