It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. And I’m finally caught up. I’m Doug. Are you ready? Let’s roll.

What do you make of Jade Cargill’s comments about the WWE schedule?

In all fairness, she was used to working one day a week, no house shows, and working three-minute squash matches in AEW, and now she’s working every week, in longer matches, and a life of training at the PC, along with numerous promotional appearances. She went from a one-day-a-week job to a full-time position. It takes some getting used to.

If you could put two established AEW singles wrestlers together and form a tag team that could rejuvenate the division, who would you put together and why?

The pairing of Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevera has the potential to do exactly that and provide a base for a revitalized tag team division. Another good possible pairing? How about Aaron Solo and Ricky Starks? I could see a good Waller/Theory vibe there and it would translate into a good tag team.

Do you think a Jurassic Express reunion could be on the cards in the future?

I don’t see it happening considering the different directions that Jack Perry and Killswitch seem to be heading, but it’s AEW and never say never. Anything is possible.

Does WWE turn Finn Balor into a title contender for Gunther? I see them taking Balor more seriously, but do they think he can be the guy he was in his second NXT run?

Balor is an exceptional wrestler and only needs an opportunity to be at the top of the roster again. Right now, Gunther seems focused on Sami Zayn, while Balor is invested in the Judgment Day business. But down the line, I could see a good Balor versus Gunther feud. It would be pretty good.

Are you going to watch the Netflix documentary on Vince McMahon?

It’s about pro wrestling and Vince McMahon and I currently have a subscription to Netflix. Am I going to watch? Do you even need to ask?

Ric Flair says he and Wendy Barlow have ‘decided to part ways’. Thoughts?

To put up with Ric for so long, Barlow qualifies for possible Sainthood. But Ric seems determined to drive everyone away and even the best of people have their breaking points. Barlow lasted longer than expected, but I guess that she finally reached hers. Best wishes to Barlow in the future. She tried.

Booker T says Adam Cole got “lost in the shuffle” in AEW after being “super hot” during the WWE run. Is Booker right?

Cole was being pushed hard on NXT and was on the rise. He left the company and went to AEW. He had a good push and then got hurt. And now, he’s still recovering from injuries and a dumb storyline with MJF that went nowhere. Booker doesn’t have all the facts straight, but he’s not wrong either. The real story is somewhere in the middle.

Who comes to mind when someone says, ‘A wrestler that nobody hates’?

I have to say R-Truth. Everyone loves Ron Killings, as they should.

Take Heenan, Heyman, and Cornette out of the running. Who would be on your Mt. Rushmore of wrestling managers?

With the big three removed from the equation, my Mt. Rushmore of wrestling managers would be Gary Hart, Sir Oliver Humperdink, Captain Lou Albano, and Nancy Benoit, aka Woman.

You’re told to put together a charity wrestling event with seven matches. You can have any one WWE star and any one AEW star you want, but they can’t wrestle each other. The rest of the card is legends, Indy wrestlers, and whoever else you want to book. What would your card look like?

My WWE star would be CM Punk, main eventing with a match against current TNA star Alan Angels. My AEW star would be Will Ospreay taking on former WWE/TNA name and current Independent wrestler, Heath Miller. As for the other five matches, let’s go with Brock & CW Anderson w/ Arn Anderson versus The Atlantic Coast Destruction Crew, Ethan Storm & Taz Jackson, with Kenny Price. Sammy Love versus Joey Janela. Victoria versus Awesome Kong. In a celebrity match, former WCW Champion David Arquette versus America’s Least Wanted, Kevin Federline. And a twenty-one-man Battle Royal with Disco Inferno, Rhyno, Hangtyme, Angel Angels, Rich Swann, Marko Stunt, James Ellsworth, Matt Hardy, Michael Youngblood, The Monster Brad Branson, Fuego Del Sol, Jamie Dundee, Doug Gilbert, Tommy Dreamer, Suge D, Colby Corino, Buff Bagwell, Scotty Riggs, The Renegade Warrior Joe Locklear, QT Marshall, and Timothy Zbyszko.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
