It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug and this is how we roll. Let’s do this.
Shinsuke Nakamura is in the same situation as AJ Styles. Both are “fine and healthy” but aren’t used on WWE programming. So a Shinsuke versus AJ Styles feud? Or maybe a tag team? What do you think?
Either works for me. If they’re both there, just have Nick Aldis get approached by AJ and want a match, so he books AJ versus Shinsuke. And you get a good match for the fans. Or just have the two meet in catering and decide to team up. With talents such as these two, they can be inserted into the show for almost any position or feud. I just hope WWE realizes this.
AEW is wrestling and WWE is sports-entertainment. Where is the lie?
Both companies do both so the statement is true and not at the same time. It’s not a lie, but it’s not necessarily true either.
Describe Josh Alexander in 3 words or less.
Talented, skilled, and bland.
SummerSlam 2025 will be a two-night event in New Jersey. Thoughts?
It makes sense since SummerSlam is the biggest party of the summer and the WWE’s second-largest show of the year. It’s already considered the WrestleMania of the summertime and if Mania is two nights, why not do SummerSlam as well? It’s good business and common sense. I’m glad to see it happen.
The Viking Raiders are both ready to return to WWE programming.
Erik and Ivar will “likely” be returning under their ‘War Raiders’ tag team name. Thoughts?
To be honest, I had forgotten that they were even still on the roster. I’ve never really been a fan. But they’re coming back? Good for them. Here is to much success.
At TNA Bound for Glory, it’s going to be Matt Cardona versus PCO in a Monster’s Ball Match for the TNA Digital Media Championship. Thoughts?
Matt Cardona is everywhere. He’s truly the King of the Indies. Given Cardona’s relationship with Steph De Lander and their long history together, this match makes sense. And wasn’t Cardona the first TNA Digital Media Champion? This should be a good match.
Bam Bam Bigelow versus Rhyno. Who wins?
Bigelow is the Beast, but Rhyno has the GORE! GORE! GORE! Rhyno wins.
One of the most revealing quotes from Vince McMahon’s documentary is that he feels that people who want to retire should, “Go die!”. Thoughts?
I can agree with Vince and his attitude on this one. For someone like Vince, who had an unusually high work ethic, seeing someone who wanted to give it all up, slack off, and take it easy, had to rub him the wrong way. Yes, wishing death on them is kind of cold, but I get it. I was forced, due to physical issues, to retire from working. I’m on disability now and I hate it. How anyone can enjoy this kind of life, I don’t get it. I’m constantly writing stuff, reading, and trying to stay busy and it’s all I’ve ever known. And not working makes me miserable. Vince is cut from the same cloth. Go die is a rough statement, as I said, but I get it.
Saraya has signed a one-year extension with AEW and will remain All-Elite for at least another year. Thoughts?
One more year of barely being there and having a job for what her name is rather than anything she’s accomplished recently. I don’t get it, but Saraya keeps a job for another year and I’m happy for her. Tony likes her and wants her around. Good for her.
Randy Savage versus The Rock. Who wins?
The Macho Man versus The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment. Imagine the promos. Imagine the pops for both men. Imagine The Rock offering Miss Elizabeth the strudel. This would be an epic encounter and a huge event. It’s a tough call, but I think Macho Man would find a way and get to the win in the end.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and I’ll see you at the matches.
