It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. Let’s roll.

How do you make the women’s tag scene respectable? There are not quite enough teams to create a whole division but thrown-together teams don’t often work. What’s the fix?

The fix is consistency and solid teams having good matches. To build up the Women’s tag team division, you need solid champions who can have good matches and work in a regular consistent style. Regular teams and regular matches. A solid base is always the key. And if it is good, the fans will come.

Assuming that War Games will be Roman’s team vs the new Bloodline, will Cody be on Roman’s team?

Given the way that everything seems to be going, it makes sense that Cody would be involved in some manner. Unless he has a match on the show defending his championship, I think he’d be part of Roman’s team.

Do you have any thoughts on Solo Sikoa?

Solo is a solid worker who has done an okay job as the new Tribal Chief. I think he’s heading toward overexposure as time moves on and this may end up hampering his career in the future. But he’s a good performer and has done well, thus far, in every role that’s been given to him.

Can you suggest a wish list of who Cena has never faced/interacted with before for him to face during his retirement tour? For me, it would be LA Knight, Trick Williams, and Dom Mysterio.

Right off the top of my head, I’d agree with Dom Mysterio, and then add Damian Priest, Bron Breakker, and Gunther to the mix. Any of those opponents and Cena would make for an excellent match.

Where does Adam Cole slot in when he returns to AEW?

I’d see him as an ally of the New Elite and challenging Hangman Adam Page for a few matches.

Who’d you rather book every AEW Show? Shane O Mac or Jericho?

Of these two, it’d easily be Jericho. Shane may have dabbled in booking from time to time, but he has no real history and the few examples where he was an influence, like RAW Underground, weren’t very good. Jericho may suck with the new gimmicks in getting himself over, but he does have a strong history of constantly reinventing himself, and given a chance to book for others, he might be good at it. Taking his name out of the story and focusing on the careers of others, we might see some good stuff from Jericho. I’d give him a chance.

What female star is getting called up from NXT next, now that Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer have landed on TV?

Roxanne Perez. This young woman has a huge star written all over her.

If you could have Bronson Reed fight any animal which one would you choose? (Assuming that the animal was absolutely involved in the kayfabe and could just sell really well and didn’t get hurt).

For some reason, the thoughts of Reed versus a pissed-off hippo just popped into my head. Maybe Reed versus a large gorilla too? No, I’ve got it. Bronson Reed versus a giant otter. They’re cute, but they’re mean. It would be adorable.

Do you truly believe, in your heart of hearts, that AEW and WWE could ever collaborate?

The bottom line is that both AEW and WWE are businesses. It would probably take the most extreme of circumstances but never say never. It’s professional wrestling and it’s all about the bottom line and making money. Will it ever happen? Probably not. But could it? Of course.

On AEW Dynamite, Hook retired the FTW Championship. Thoughts?

It was not an officially recognized championship. It was brought back to AEW to serve a purpose and get Hook over. It did the job it was intended to do, added to the legacy of the championship, and now it’s going back into the mothballs in the closet. Makes sense to me.

And there you go. An early morning edition of the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m heading to bed now. I can see the sun breaking in the sky. Questions, comments, and any thoughts are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And I’ll see you the next time. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.
