I can’t sleep so it’s a new edition of the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Three editions so far in one day? Never think I don’t love you. I’m Doug. And let’s get this party started. Let’s rock!

One thing I love about the Royal Rumble is when two people feuding enter at #1 & #2. In 2023, it was Gunther & Sheamus. In 2024, it was Jey Uso & Jimmy Uso. In 2025, who could it be?

I’ve have Drew McIntyre enter as Number 1, and for Number 2, CM Punk.

Per PWInsider, the Motor City Machine Guns will go to SmackDown when they debut in WWE. The vignette shown today on the show was directed at them. So it’s Smackdown and not NXT as originally reported. Thoughts?

It’s pro wrestling. Plans change. I’ll just be happy to see Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin back on WWE TV and part of the WWE Tag Team Division.

Candice LeRae has been crowned the first-ever WWE Speed Women’s Champion, beating IYO SKY in the final! Thoughts?

Is anyone even watching the Speed stuff on Twitter? I had forgotten it even existed. Congratulations to LeRae.

AJ Styles made his return on Smackdown and ended up leaving with crutches. Thoughts?

And did you see the way the leg buckled and the kneepad seemed to explode? I’m not sure if it’s a worked injury or a shoot, but given the vignettes backstage and the filmed angle with the doctor, I think it’s a work. Regardless, it’ll build up sympathy for AJ and make this next run, likely his final main-roster run, even bigger. I am now 100% more interested in seeing how this plays out for AJ. And if it’s real, thoughts and prayers out to AJ for a painless and speedy recovery.

If the Hurt Business does reunite in AEW, should Lio Rush, who used to be Bobby Lashley’s hype-man, be part of the group?

Sure. There is a history there and Lio is capable of doing some good stuff when motivated and used correctly. Since Cedric Alexander is still with WWE, having Lio there to pair up with Lashley and Shelton makes sense.

Oba Femi has become the longest-reigning NXT North American Champion in history. Thoughts?

But I thought WWE doesn’t push black men and Triple H is racist. To be honest, the NXT North American Championship has only been in existence since 2018 so that makes Femi the longest running champion for a title that has only existed six years. It’s not so impressive when you look at it that way. But still, Femi has had a good run and seems to get better weekly. Congratulations to the champ.

Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard are both scheduled to be at WWE Bad Blood in Atlanta. What role, if any, do you think the two original Horsemen will have as part of the event?

I think having Arn and Tully in the house is just a bonus gift for the Atlanta fans. Maybe they’ll sit at ringside during Cody’s match, but aside from being there, I doubt WWE has any plans for the one-time Brain Busters.

Is Bret Hart overrated?

Bret is a good wrestler and had a great career. He was the right person in the right place when the WWF needed him. Is he as good as his hype and ego seem to believe? Is he truly the best there is, was, or ever will be? No, I don’t think so. Is he overrated? I would probably say yeah.

What was Flair’s best feud? Steamboat, Harley, or Dusty?

Steamboat was the best match, while the matches with Dusty had the most long-term impact on the business. But I remember the feud with Flair and Harley, building toward the first Starcade so vividly, the intensity and heat were so real. Look at Punk and Drew now in the WWE, Now amplify that by 1000%. That was Flair and Race. I’ll go with Harley & Ric on this one.

Thoughts on Orlando Jordan. Does he still even wrestle?

Jordon was a good wrestler who had a good presence, but he just got stranger and stranger as time progressed and by the time he went to TNA, he was just too weird to take seriously. Since leaving TNA in 2011, Jordon has continued to wrestle in Independent shows and Australia. In September 2023, Jordon was crowned the All-Star Wrestling Australian World Champion. Jordon was famous for being bisexual and being a freak, but he married a woman in 2013 and became the father of a daughter in 2014. Aside from wrestling, he also runs a wrestling school in Melbourne, Australia.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.
