According to Meltzer, WWE Bad Blood had too many “run-in” spots with Tiffany in the Nia/Bayley match, Judgment Day in the Balor/Priest match, Rachel in the Liv/Rhea match, and the usual craziness in the Bloodline match. Thoughts?

Does Dave ever watch AEW television where every match has a run-in, interference, a post-match ambush, or a backstage brawl after the fact? But that’s okay. Yes, WWE Bad Blood had a lot of shenanigans, but every case of interference or outside involvement has precedent and made sense as part of the story. Uncle Dave is just spewing off about nothing, as usual.

Gorilla Monsoon passed away 25 years ago today. Thoughts & memories of Gorilla?

Gorilla Monsoon was a wrestler before my time, but I do remember him as a commentator and during his run as the WWE Commissioner. The main thing I remember was the attack by Vader. Monsoon was an old-school wrestler turned announcer turned authority figure. A wrestling icon and WWWF legend.

Triple Threat: Cowboy Bill Watts versus Freddie Blassie versus Gorilla Monsoon. Who wins?

I’ve only seen these three men wrestle via YouTube and old videos so this is pure speculation. Watts was the big Cowboy and a bully to Jim Cornette. Gorilla threw out some big chops, fought a boxer, and verbally sparred with Bobby Heenan. And Blassie was a human-vampire and Hollywood fashion plate? It’s an interesting mix. I think he of the file-sharpened teeth would win. The pencil-necked-geeks would fall to Freddie Blassie.

Who should Drew McIntyre feud with next?

I think we’ll see a short feud with Wade Barrett as the seeds have already been planted. And then, how about Drew versus Seth Rollins? Has that one been done lately? The promos and build would be awesome.

Should the Hell in a Cell match have been the main event of Bad Blood?

Given the context of the matches and the stories, I think the matches were appropriately placed on the card, and WWE did it right.

What do you say about The Rock versus Roman Reigns versus Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41?

I’m willing to see how things play out, but to be honest about it, I’m already tired of the Final Boss stuff with The Rock. Less is more and the less we see Dwayne popping up, the more I like it. I want the Undisputed Champion, regardless of who it is, to defend the belt in a one-on-one match with no third person needed or desired.

Do you think we’ll see a Liv Morgan versus Rhea Ripley rematch at WrestleMania?

I hope so. The story still has legs and a climax at Mania between Liv & Rhea seems to be the best way to go.

So Brock didn’t show up at Bad Blood despite being spotted at the airport in Atlanta. How would you bring Brock to WWE for a match at WrestleMania?

The best way for Brock to get inserted in the current stories is just to show up, wreak havoc, and just kind of force his way into the picture. If a story or reason is needed, just have the monster who needs an opponent bully Heyman or refer to how they’re the new Beast or anything that might get under Brock’s skin. Brock can say that he saw it on television and decided that someone needed to learn a lesson. Brock is one of those guys who doesn’t need a big reason to bring him back. He’s Brock Lesnar and that’s quite enough.

Would you like to see Triple H come back for “one more match”?

If Triple H was physically able, I think it would have already happened by now. If it could be done safely, I’d love to see Hunter get pissed off and deliver to someone a pedigree or two.

Triple H & HBK versus Nick Aldis & Adam Pearce. Who wins?

And speaking of Triple H back in the ring. Aldis and Pearce have too much history and I can’t see them teaming up. And in a match against their bosses? It’d be a fun match and the build/promos leading up to the match would probably be better than the actual match itself. Maybe Ava could come up from NXT and be the Guest Referee? The bottom line would be, that we all know who signs the checks each month. Triple H and HBK would win.
