It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. Let’s roll.
Do you believe Triple H’s remarks were in poor taste? How do you think WWE will rectify its diversity issues?
I didn’t remarks in bad taste. I heard common sense that the talent rises to the top and the best the push, regardless of their race, gender, religion, or anything else. The entire WWE roster is diverse, with POC filling more of the top spots than anyone else. People are mad because there are currently no black men at the top, but the two top male champions in NXT are black men, while the top woman on Smackdown is a woman of color. This is a whole lot of nothing being blown out of proportion and anyone with half a brain knows it.
Would you like to see Tyler Breeze return to WWE?
Tyler Breeze is a good wrestler and a fun character. Yeah, bring him back to WWE. I’d like to see it.
Would you like to see Buddy Matthews return to WWE and face off against Dominik Mysterio in a storyline involving Rhea Ripley?
If I recall correctly, didn’t Buddy recently sign a contract extension with AEW? I believe that he did so it may be a while before this could ever happen. But somewhere down the line, a feud with Buddy versus Dominik could be fun. I wouldn’t mind seeing it happen.
What do you think about Cody’s push for Atlanta to host a WrestleMania? Should WWE bring the Show of Shows to his hometown?
If Atlanta hadn’t been the home base for WCW all those years ago, most likely it would have already hosted a WrestleMania by now. I’m not saying that Vince and WWE hold a grudge, but they do. Now that Vince is going, it should happen at some point.
Kevin Nash versus John Studd. Who wins?
Kevin Nash is a legend and icon and all of that, but John Studd was second only to Andre in being wrestling’s giant for a long, long time. John Studd would win.
What’s next for CM Punk?
It seems he has his pick of options when he returns. He’s made a challenge to Gunther, has exchanged words with Seth Rollins, and teased the start of something with All Ego Ethan Page last week on NXT. After a short sabbatical due to Hell in a Cell, I’m expecting Page to be the first rivalry. And after that, anything is possible.
Don Callis says AEW is “the best locker room and company” for which he has ever worked. Thoughts?
Who is currently signing Don Callis’s paychecks? It never hurts to kiss up and keep the boss happy. If he worked for WWE or TNA, he’d be saying the same thing about them as well.
True or False: Ric Flair is the greatest wrestler of all time.
Flair is one of the all-time greats, but the greatest of all time? No, I don’t think so. False!
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, it’s a wrap. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
