It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. Let’s roll.

Describe Jordynne Grace in three words or less.

Strong, talented, and champion.

With 2025 being the last possible opportunity to do it, should WWE do the Cena / Rock III rubber match?

No. Let Cena have fun and wrestle the people he wants to wrestle. Let The Rock do his Final Boss character and handle Bloodline business. Keep them separate and let them do their things.

Who would be on your Mt. Rushmore of wrestling referees?

Tommy Young, Charles Robinson, Earl Hebner, and Pee Wee Anderson.

Yesterday was his birthday. Say three nice things about Tony Khan.

He likes wrestling, he pays well, and he enjoys giving hugs.

One Man Gang & King Kong Bundy versus Bronson Reed & Braun Strowman. Who wins?

I would hope the ring is reinforced for this match. These are four big dudes. I think I’d go with OMG and Bundy in this one.

What are your thoughts on the Warlord & The Barbarian, aka The Powers of Pain?

Two of the biggest and most underrated talents of their era. Barbarian, who I’ve met a couple of times, is one of the nicest guys, outside of the ring, in wrestling. Don’t piss him off though. The Warlord was all muscle and is also so underrated. I guess they were overshadowed by Demolition and the Road Warriors. They were wasted in WCW, being stuck with Paul Jones as their manager. And in WWE, they weren’t sure how to use them. They had good careers and have left a lasting legacy. Two of my guilty-pleasure favorites.

25 years ago was the infamous Heroes of Wrestling PPV. Did you watch this? Memories and thoughts?

I watched it in the original airing and then again, several times on YouTube. It’s a guilty pleasure for sure. It’s so bad, it’s good. I remember watching Stan Lane versus Tully Blanchard. That was the match I was there to see. Kind of boring, but it was Stan & Tully, so who cares. And the main event stuff? Jake was plastered, Yoko was so huge, Neidhart looked confused, and King Kong Bundy just looked pissed off to be there. It was a moment that most fans would rather forget. I still enjoy watching it from time to time though.

Does Baby Doll belong in the WWE Hall of Fame?

This is a no-brainer. Nickla Roberts was a force to be reckoned with as Tully Blanchard’s Perfect 10, and then as a part of the Dusty/Horsemen package. And even today, she still works the occasional show and makes appearances. Baby Doll is an incredible person and a true wrestling legend. Based on the times I’ve met her, she is also a very sweet, well-spoken, and amazing person. And yes, she has more than earned a spot in the Hall of Fame. Are you listening, Triple H.

Would you like to see Jesse Ventura appear on WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event?

I believe that he is scheduled to be the Color Analyst for the return of the Main Event. I think that was the plan from the very moment that Ventura entered into talks with WWE for a Legend’s Deal. I doubt Ventura will be as sharp as he once was, but maybe in a three-man booth, he should be protected and do well.

Was the Hangman Adam Page/Swerve Strickland feud in AEW on par with the CM Punk/Drew McIntyre feud in WWE? Yes or no?

The Hangman/Swerve deal had cinder blocks, arson, and needles. Punk & Drew had blood, a story, and made sense. The AEW match was a glorified outlaw mudshow event. The WWE had a high-quality PPV and their match stole the show and set the bar for what is to come. It’s not even close.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to share, like, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
