In a world full of questions, sometimes you have to look both far and near to find the answers. Or you can just come here. It’s 5 Questions and it all starts right now.

At what age did you first move out of your parent’s home?

I think I was 19 years old. I had a nice apartment, not far from where I worked, and one of my coworkers and I decided to give it a shot. He lasted less than a month. But his then-girlfriend at the time, who deserved so much better, and I became friends and are still friends to this day. That was in 1987, I think. I’m not sure of the dates, but I was young, wild, and ready to explore the world.

Can you think of one quality that makes Harris qualified to be president?

Well, she was raised middle-class… in Canada. She’s black or is it Asian? She’s a female. She makes Tim Walz look like a research scientist. And she… I’m sorry. I’m going blank here.

Does Ketchup belong on eggs?

I think that’s a matter of personal taste and up to the egg eater. I don’t do it often, but I have done it and I thoroughly enjoyed my scrambled eggs, smothered in ketchup. It’s not something I’d want every day, but hell, once in a while, I’d allow it.

Do you think teachers who promote Pride and BLM flags in their classrooms should be fired and barred from teaching?

The only flags that belong in a classroom are the flags of the state and country. Everything else should be related to the subject being taught. A teacher may believe anything they want, but they have no right to enforce those beliefs on others. Stick to the subject they were hired to teach and any personal beliefs should be left at the door. It’s common sense. Leave the politics and social issues at home or don’t bother showing up because that teacher is not needed.

What would you rather have? A job you love, but make little money, or a job where you make tons of money & benefits, but hate?

This one is a no-brainer for me. So long as I can make enough money to pay my bills, I could care less about the paycheck. I have to enjoy my job and coworkers or there is no reason for me to even bother. Money is nice, but if I’m not happy and dreading having to go to work each day, it’s not for me. I’m a simple guy with simple tastes and I have always been that way. If I have a place to stay, enough to eat and keep my cats happy, and access to a good computer to keep my sanity intact, I don’t need anything else. Well, I need my bro-son and best friend, and occasionally an Uber-Hug, but nothing materialistic. Happiness matters. Money is a necessary evil, but a person only needs so much.

And there you go. Thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. I’ll talk to you later, my friends.
