I’m Doug and this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s rock & roll, bitches!

So, what happened to Giovanni Vinci?

Who knows? He wrestled for two weeks, lost both matches and vanished. I guess his program has been put on the back burner until after the Saudi shows.

Is it safe to say O-Cody and Cringe Monè are the biggest flop signings in AEW history?

I wouldn’t say that Okada and Mercedes are the worst signings AEW has made, but they’re pretty damn close.

Hornswoggle has signed a Legends contract with WWE. Thoughts?

Congratulations to Dylan. Hornswoggle was a mainstay on the WWE roster for over a decade and filled so many unique roles, plus from all indications, he’s a great guy. This is well deserved, as also would be a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Matt Cardona has been pushing the idea of going back to WWE or AEW as Cardona, not Zack Ryder. Could he be successful?

Have you watched this man for the past few years? Cardona would do very well in today’s WWE and so long as he and Hunter stay on the same page, would be very successful.

Is there anyone in AEW you enjoy watching right now? With the new deal, do you see Tony Khan taking on a different booker?

I enjoy watching Aaron Solo, Ricky Starks, and Fuego Del Sol. Oops! And of wrestlers that get used from time to time, Christian, Dustin Rhodes, and Sammy Guevera.

You’re hired as the booker for Heroes of Wrestling II. Seven matches. Who are you booking for this event?

No way. This is one job that I would not take. I’ll have them just send it over to Tony Khan and have him book a normal episode of Dynamite. Same difference, right? Okay, I’ll reluctantly play along. The whole concept of Heroes of Wrestling was older wrestlers coming back for one last hurrah, right? Let’s do this. Main event: Diamond Dallas Page versus Scott Steiner. The American Males (Buff Bagwell & Scotty Riggs) versus Rikishi & Scotty 2 Hotty. James Ellsworth versus Hornswoggle. Candice Michelle versus Victoria. The Rock & Roll Express w/ Jimmy Valiant versus Lenny Lane & Lodi, aka The West Hollywood Blondes. Tim Zbyszko w/ Larry Zbyszko versus Garrett Bischoff w/ Eric Bischoff. Rachel Ellering w/ Paul Ellering versus Tessa Blanchard w/ Tully Blanchard. I decided to mix up the wrestlers with talents that can still go, some that are borderline, and a few that need a good comeback. Parents who just happen to be legends are included as well.

Do you believe Jim Cornette should be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame?

This one is a no-brainer. Jim Cornette AND the Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton, Stan Lane, and Dennis Condrey) are all long overdue for induction. It needs to happen.

Bryan Danielson admitted in a recent interview that he started losing the strength in his legs during his match last week on Dynamite. He’s admitted several times that he needs surgery. So how is he medically cleared to wrestle Moxley at WrestleDream?

I don’t see how he’s being allowed to wrestle. My guess is there is a whole lot of money, a few medical waivers, and a lack of common sense involved. Danielson is his own worst enemy at times and this is one of those times. WWE doctors would never clear him and if they truly gave a damn, AEW doctors shouldn’t either. But money talks, I guess, and Tony is too nice to tell Danielson no.

Should Rhea Ripley be challenging for men’s titles in WWE?

Nope. Rhea is an amazing female wrestler and should stick with wrestling and challenging female wrestlers for Women’s Championships only. The only guy she should beat up on is Dominik.

Andre the Giant w/ Bobby Heenan versus Brock Lesnar w/ Paul Heyman. Who wins?

This one is rough because Andre was in pretty bad shape during his last few years and in a legit shoot, I think Brock could take him. But in a wrestling match? I think Brock would gladly do the honors, put on a great match, and allow Andre the victory via DQ or count-out.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, I’m out of here. Take care and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
