It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. Let’s roll.

Do you think with the reaction she gets and the way the segment played out on Raw, are WWE teasing a Tiffany’s face turn?

Tiffany as a babyface wouldn’t work. It’s the small things and the heel tendencies that make her character work so well. Making Tiffy Time into a face would destroy everything that makes her stand out so much. If she does ever turn face, it won’t be for a long time to come.

Is Willow Nightingale slowly becoming the late 2010s version of Bayley in AEW? Great matches, has a great character, and the crowd loves her!

It’s like going on WISH and asking for a Bayley. Willow is what they hand you. It’s a good comparison.

If Malakai Black leaves AEW as people expect, and if Brody King is getting a single run based on this Darby feud – what should AEW do with the re-signed Buddy Matthews?

How about a few strong matches, a run with one of the many titles that are currently floating around AEW, and a six-man alliance with FTR? That’s all I can think of right now.

Do you think the move to Netflix was a deciding factor for Max to get the AEW shows?

While probably not the overall determining factor, I’m sure that RAW on Netflix may have been mentioned once or twice in the discussions with WBD. I think that’s a safe assumption.

Given what we know about how AEW creative works, is the single biggest problem Tony Kahn?

Yes.

One-on-one match: Oba Femi vs Jacob Fatu. Who wins?

I’d go with the Samoan Werewolf on this one. Femi is impressive, but Fatu has a long history and plenty of experience behind him. Fatu would win.

In which company would you say Bryan Danielson/Daniel Bryan was most successful and why? Is that also the same company where he had his best matches?

He made his reputation in Japan and ROH, but it was his run in WWE that made him a star. The fans were behind him in a way that had rarely been seen before. Since going to AEW, he’s been more coasting off the WWE run than anything else. His best matches were, in my opinion, in WWE as well. He was able to do his thing, but he had some restraint as well and wasn’t quite so reckless. Since coming to AEW, he has taken needless risks and we’re seeing the results with how broken down he’s become so very quickly.

Renee Paquette is the best person in wrestling at their job. Shy doesn’t get the kudos. She adds something to every single taping.

Renee is a very talented and special lady. I miss her Oral Sessions interviews. She does excellent work and AEW is lucky to have her.

Did WWE signing Cody Rhodes end up ruining the best storyline they had in decades by not letting Sami Zayn beat Roman Reigns?

No matter how much you may hope, Sami Zayn was not going to beat Roman and become the Undisputed WWE Champion. Cody or no Cody, Sami was not going to be champion. WWE signing Cody didn’t ruin anything.

Would a brand split be a good idea for AEW?

The roster is large enough, but I don’t think it would work for AEW. Collision only gets 1/3 of the viewers that Dynamite does and the different brands would start on unequal terms and just go downhill from there. It would never work.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches.
