I’m Doug and this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Are you ready? Let’s rock!
If you could bring back the Raw guest hosts for one week, who should host?
Who else? Kevin Smith & Jason Mewes, aka Jay & Silent Bob.
What do you make of different wrestling veterans on Twitter knocking the current-day product?
It’s their opinion and of course, they’re going to prefer the wrestling of their era over any other style. I don’t give it much thought and just take any criticism in the context it’s presented.
Will Ospreay vs. Ricochet vs. Konosuke Takeshita has been called the greatest triple-threat match in wrestling history. Do you agree?
It was choreographed moves and flips, with a small touch of wrestling mixed in. The greatest triple-threat of all time? I would have to disagree.
Who is the BEST on-screen couple in WWE history?
There are many great options to choose from, such as Vince & Linda, Triple H & Stephanie, Macho Man & Elizabeth, HBK & Sherri, King Booker & Sharmell, and so many others. But I’ll go with one that lasted over thirty years. Adrian Street & Miss Linda.
With the Survivor Series PLE focusing on the WarGames match nowadays, do you think the traditional Survivor Series multi-person tag team elimination match is a thing of the past?
Yeah, they’re pretty much a thing of the past now. I don’t think we’ll ever see them come back.
Which wrestler defines Canadian wrestling?
There are plenty of options such as Jericho, Edge, Christian, Trish, Lance Storm, etc., but the poster child for Canadian Pro Wrestling. Goldberg might disagree, but it has to be Bret Hart.
Booker T recently named his Mt. Rushmore of women’s wrestlers. His top 4 are Sensational Sherri, Trish Stratus, Sable, and Lita. Who is on your Mt. Rushmore?
Lisa Moretti, aka Ivory, Baby Doll, Sherri Martel, and Asuka.
Do you like Chelsea Green?
I think she is an amazing entertainer and character and easily one of the best talents in WWE today. This young lady may never be the Woman’s Champion, but she’s absolutely at the top of the Women’s roster in WWE.
Do you think Solo has improved on the mic?
He’s getting better. He’s not great, but he manages to get his point across and say what needs to be said. A character like Solo though, shouldn’t be cutting long promos. Less is more and he’s learning that and improving each week.
Name a wrestler you always believed should’ve won the Royal Rumble but never did.
Zack Ryder and Dolph Ziggler are the two names that immediately popped into my head. CM Punk too, but I think his time is coming.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up for now. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
