It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. Let’s roll.

Describe Shawn Michaels with three words or less.

The Heartbreak Kid.

It’s been 319 days since Charlotte Flair’s last WWE appearance. Do you miss the Queen?

Not really. WWE has plenty of talented women on their roster and while Charlotte’s presence is noted, so many women have stepped up over the past year, it’s not a big deal. I will be happy when she returns to action and adds one more name to the mix of top stars. She’ll be a welcome addition, but she isn’t needed.

Which WWE dream match that will never happen did you want to see most?

Bron Breakker versus The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar versus Gunther are the two most modern that come to mind. Eddie Guerrero versus Dom Mysterio would be cool as well.

Have you missed Logan Paul in WWE?

Not really. Logan is a major star and always adds to the product when he’s available, but there are so many talents who have stepped up as of late, that his absence, while noted, doesn’t matter much. It’ll be exciting when he returns, but he does not need to rush or hurry.

Name 1 wrestler you’d like to have a drink with.

A night at the bar with Ric Flair would be amazing. I’m sure he’d embarrass himself and it would be cringe at times, but it’s still Ric Flair. Just imagine the stories I’d be able to tell.

Why is Mauro Ranallo not in AEW?

He has other commitments and is now doing commentary for Scott D’Amore’s Maple Leaf Wrestling. To the best of my knowledge, AEW hasn’t offered him a job, and given the poor quality of their announcers, they probably wouldn’t want him because he’s far better than anyone currently on their roster as an announcer. I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t offer him a job, but I doubt he’d accept.

Sting has signed a Legends deal with AEW. Thoughts?

Good for Sting. He continues to collect a check from AEW in exchange for merchandising rights and the occasional non-wrestling appearance. I can say many things bad about AEW, but Tony Khan did Sting right and continues to do so. Congratulations to Sting.

Victoria is one of the most underrated WWE wrestlers in the last 25 years. Agree or disagree?

I agree with this. For the women of her era, she stood far above and beyond most of the others. She had a great character and always managed to be entertaining regardless of whatever she was asked to do. She is an icon in every sense of the word and belongs in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Should AEW hire Rico as a full-time manager?

With one appearance after a long absence from the ring, Rico showed that he still has it, with more charisma than 90% of the roster, he can still work and take bumps. He’s in great shape and would add a great deal to the AEW roster. So that would be a yes.

WWE signed Dragon Lee directly after his Dynamite performance. WWE signed Stephanie Vaquer directly after the Forbidden Door performance. Companies getting an agreement that won’t immediately sign with other companies after performing in other companies is smart. Yes or no?

If a company doesn’t want a rival promotion to sign a wrestler that they’ve featured on an event, sign that wrestler to a contract. Otherwise, it’s fair game and if another promotion wants them, they have the right to make an offer. If the promotion doesn’t have them under a contract, they have no say in what that wrestler does next.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And now, I’m out of here. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
