It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m your Guiding Light, Doug, and this is where I provide the answers to any wrestling-related questions you may have. Nothing is off-limits. So are you ready? I said, Are You Ready? Let’s rock & roll.

If AEW were to bring back their YouTube shows, do you think it would be a good idea to have one focus primarily on female talent? Perhaps to give them more time to shine.

No, it wouldn’t. AEW doesn’t have a roster of women strong enough to handle a show of their own, plus there wouldn’t be an audience for it. The women have their fans and an audience, but I doubt it’s big enough to exist without the men as well.

Do you think WWE will put Brock Lesner in the Hall of Fame if the allegations are not completed in a few years? Also, who is your first pick for the Hall of Fame this year?

Whenever he’s ready to be inducted, Brock Lesnar will become part of the WWE Hall of Fame. I still think Brock will have one last run with the company before all is said and done. He’s too good to keep ignoring. As for my first pick for the WWE Hall of Fame for this year, I’m pulling for Jim Cornette and the Midnight Express.

With Mox & the BCC or whatever they’re called now start attacking everyone besides the babyface’s they’ve already confronted? Do you see anyone joining Mox in his crusade?

I don’t know what is going on with Moxley and the BCC, and this entire storyline is confusing, insane, and makes no sense. Will some members of the AEW roster join up with Mox and his group of thugs? I’ll say yes.

If KO beats Cody for the belt at Survivor Series, what do you think the Mania title match will be?

I doubt Kevin Owens will beat Cody, but if he does win the belt, I think we’ll see Owens defending his title against either Cody or Roman.

Do you think the story that Randy Savage was mad at Vince McMahon and left WWF because he held a long-standing grudge over his father not being booked for a Legends Battle Royal at the Meadowlands is true?

I’ve heard that story before and I believe Lanny Poffo was the one who said it, so I think it’s true. Is it the only reason? No, I doubt that. But it might be a small part of what is probably a much larger story.

What are your thoughts on The Italian Stallion, Gary Sabaugh?

As a wrestler, he was good. As a person, if the stories I’ve heard from many people, much of this first-hand experience, he was a prick. Stallion was well known for helping many young talents get booked and work with WCW and WWE. He was also well known for taking 50% of their booking fee for his efforts. Just think Fabulous Moolah with more body hair and an Italian accent. A story a friend of mine told me that he allegedly witnessed was that Bobby Eaton called him out about the way he “stole” money from the younger wrestlers and when Stallion tried to argue back, Eaton laid him out with a punch. I don’t know if it’s true, but it’s a good story and adds insight into the character of the Italian Stallion is/was.

Shaska Whatley, The Barbarian, Tejo Khan, and Baron Von Raschke w/ Paul Jones versus The BCC, Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, Pac, and Claudio Castagnoli. Who wins?

The BCC is tough, but look at this classic crew of legends, plus add into the equation, the mind that is Number One Paul Jones. The Barbarian could probably beat up everyone all by himself. Paul Jones’ Army wins.

Let’s be real. AEW needs help badly. What do you think could help AEW? Or who?

What could help is a total reboot of the promotion with a good, consistent booker, storylines that make sense, and strong characters. And that means Tony Khan needs to take a step back and put someone else in charge. As for who that person should be, I don’t know. At this point, even Vince Russo would be a step up. Maybe former ROH talent Delirious? Maybe Tommy Dreamer or Freddie Prinze Jr. Almost anyone would be an improvement.

Where did it go wrong with the House of Black in AEW?

The on-again booking with long absences in between appearances have all taken their toll. The House of Black started strongly in AEW and then vanished from the television screen. Then they came back and it happened again. Nobody can get over being used like that.

I like Orange Cassidy, but is he THE GUY to lead AEW against the evil Moxley and his crew? Thoughts?

Cassidy has come a long way since his days as the pure comedy wrestler, but still, he’s a comedy wrestler. The hands in the pockets and man of few words gimmick is cool to a point, but in a serious war, it doesn’t make sense. It would be the equivalent of having Disco Inferno lead WCW back when the nWo did their initial invasion. Or Doink the Clown being the man for WWE when they did the WCW/ECW Invasion angle. I’m not sure who would be the best since AEW is limited on top stars without a ton of baggage, but Cassidy? He’s not the one.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up for now. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
