It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. Do you have questions? I have the answers. Let’s get busy and do this.
Am I the only one getting tired of the “justified” heel? Maybe I’m overblowing it but I feel like there are too many heels who I agree with regarding why they turned heel.
The best heels have always been the ones who feel they’re in the right and are the victims. It’s called story-telling and good wrestling booking 101. You are overblowing it.
With AEW having so many talented wrestlers under contract, why is Collision so missable? Is this because Tony is booking too much, and could they benefit from someone like Double J taking over the creative from that show?
Yes, Tony is booking too much and he’s not good at it. Having Jarrett take over or bringing in some new faces would work wonders for Collision, Dynamite, and Rampage. The entire AEW product would benefit.
Would you fold Renee into the BCC storyline, and if so, how?
I probably would try to use her as part of the BCC story since her marriage to Moxley is common knowledge and it doesn’t make sense that she would be ignored or unscathed. Maybe have some of the people who Moxley has attacked threaten Renee or give her a warning to pass on to her husband. Having all this chaos, but Renee is perky and happy and it’s business as usual for her, that just makes no sense.
When do you think HHH will stop booking the shows? Who do you think takes the book in the Fed after HHH is no longer in charge? HBK? Do they just give the main rosters straight to Punk or does Dwayne give it to one of his people?
Triple H will quit booking the WWE when he and TKO feel, for whatever reasons, that it’s time to move on. As for who takes over, maybe it’s HBK. Maybe it’s someone else suggested by The Rock. I’m sure that there is a line of succession in place, just in case. But figuring out who comes next, it’s out of my pay scale.
After Bloodline story is over what direction would you want to see for Jacob Fatu? I would love to see him and Bron Breaker tag together at some point.
Once the Bloodline story is over, if it ever ends, I expect we’ll see Fatu continue to be booked strongly as a monster. A team with Breakker would be impressive, but in terms of teaming up with others, I think he’ll probably stay with family members. We’ll just have to watch and see.
With tag team wrestling not getting much of a spotlight this year, who could lay claim to the tag team of the year with the major two promotions?
If it’s Meltzer and the Wrestling Observer, the tag team of the year will be the Young Bucks. So far as the real world goes, Matt & Jeff Hardy and their victory last night at TNA Bound for Glory, capturing the TNA World Tag Team Titles, plus a good dose of nostalgia, makes them the favorites, at least in my opinion.
Who do you think defeats Mariah May for the belt and when?
I feel that Timeless Toni Storm will be the one to defeat May for the AEW Women’s Championship and reclaim her title. And then May & Storm can switch the belts back and forth a few times. As for when what’s the next PPV? Full Gear? Well, there you go.
I saw a rumor that WWE has a campaign going on to discredit Dave Meltzer. Something about the Kevin Owens contract. Have you seen this? Thoughts?
I saw this, again on a secondary click-bait website and I doubt it’s true. Meltzer does more than enough to discredit himself every time he speaks or posts a new edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Uncle Dave doesn’t need the help of WWE or anyone else to do that.
Hulk Hogan claimed the planned movie with Chris Hemsworth would have won an Oscar and had the greatest script ever. But Hogan backed out because it negatively portrayed him. Thoughts?
It’s Hogan being Hogan. I’m sure, given the hype that surrounded this movie, plus having Hemsworth as part of it, it would have been good. But an Oscar? Really? And Hogan backed out because it’s Hogan. Oy vey!
Wildfire Tommy Rich, in his prime, versus Dominik Mysterio. Who wins?
Tommy was a huge star in his time and this would be an interesting match. Tommy works better as the underdog, but against Dom, he would be a strong favorite. Tommy has the fans and the experience. Dom has Liv Morgan and the Judgment Day. I think Dirty Dom would find a way and steal the win.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. I’m going to go watch NXT Halloween Havoc now. Have a great one and I’ll see you on the other side.
Ubuntu!
