It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. Let’s rock & roll. And away we go.

Is Becky Lynch the greatest female wrestler of all time?

While Becky should be in anyone’s Top 20, it’s very arguable to call her the GOAT of Women’s wrestling. There are far too many women who laced up those boots and competed over the years. Becky is one of the better ones, but the greatest? I can’t say that.

Who should CM Punk feud with next?

I’m expecting a program with All Ego Ethan Page based on their NXT issues, and once that finishes, Punk can move into something with Seth once we start getting closer to Wrestlemania.

What are your thoughts on Bob Sapp?

A big man. I’ve only seen a couple of matches with Sapp from Japan, but I remember him best from Adam Sandler’s movie, The Longest Yard. And he made me laugh. “I think I broke his freakin’ neck!”. A big, big man. I wish I had seen more of his wrestling. From all I’ve heard, he was impressive in the ring and a favorite of the Japanese crowds. He didn’t do much in the United States so I can’t say much more than that.

What’s your take on Dawn Marie making her return to the ECW Arena?

Dawn Marie has always been a favorite of mine and one of the best things about ECW in their prime. I think she’s coming to the NXT show as a guest referee. It will be cool to see how extreme she still is. I’m looking forward to her return.

Should WWE book more ambulance matches?

No. Keep them few and far between and it keeps them special. Like most novelty matches, less is more, especially in professional wrestling.

Do you think AEW needs to bring Ricky Starks back? Or should they just let him go and do his own thing elsewhere?

If they’re not going to use him, they should just release him from his contract and allow him to move on. Keeping him under contract and not using him is just an asshole thing to do. It’s more like a thing that Vince McMahon would do than the World’s Greatest Boss, Tony Khan. I guess Tony has learned his lessons well.

Allegedly, WWE turned down having AJ Styles inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame. Thoughts?

It wasn’t WWE, but AJ Styles himself who declined the induction offer. AJ says that he doesn’t want to go into any Hall of Fame while still an active wrestler. So we can’t blame WWE for this one. It’s all on AJ himself.

It looks like Bubba Dudley versus Ridge Holland next week at NXT from the ECW Arena. Thoughts?

It could be that match, but most likely, it’ll be a tag match with Holland & Ethan Page versus Bubba & Trick Williams. Regardless of how they book it, having Bubba Ray Dudley, as well as Dawn Marie, at the NXT show coming from the ECW Arena is great thinking by the WWE. It should pop the ratings, plus make the Philadelphia fans very happy. I just wonder if we’ll see an appearance by The Wise Man. It should be a good show.

What is your 2024 Match of the Year?

This one is a no-brainer and no other match even comes close. CM Punk versus Drew McIntyre in the Hell in a Cell match at Badd Blood. Those two men nearly killed themselves and went way above and beyond.

Penelope Ford is back in AEW after being gone for nearly two years. Thoughts?

Honestly, I had forgotten about Penelope. I remember her doing some stuff with Joey Janela, and then she hooked up with Kip Sabian, and then? I guess she was injured, but I’m not sure. Now, she’s back. Good for her. Now, let’s see what she can do.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, I’m out of here for now. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
