It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. Let’s roll.
Darby Allin versus Bobby Eaton. Who wins?
A great wrestler who doesn’t talk against a mediocre wrestler who talks too damn much, but probably shouldn’t. Darby isn’t a bad wrestler, but he seems to have a death wish and will be in a wheelchair before he turns 50. This would be a fun and interesting match, but the winner is in little doubt, at least to me. Beautiful Bobby wins.
Do you want to see Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair face off against each other at WrestleMania 41?
This would be a good match. If it happens, I won’t complain.
AEW Dynamite and NXT will be going head-to-head next week. Which one do you think will win the ratings battle that night?
AEW is having a regular show. NXT is coming live from the ECW Arena and Bubba Ray Dudley, Rob Van Dam, and Dawn Marie are all part of the show. I think NXT will not only win but by at least 80,000 viewers.
Do you think the job that made her popular and built her fan base was beneath Samantha Irvin?
I think that she seems to think so. Most people would be very appreciative of a job being the ring announcer for Monday Night RAW, but I guess Samantha Irvin isn’t most people. She’s entitled to that belief, but most others would not agree.
Should WWE turn NXT into a new WCW?
No. WCW is dead and buried. The NXT brand is strong and if it’s not broken, don’t try and fix it. Leave it be.
What would you do with Drew McIntyre when he comes back? Who do you want to see him work with?
When Drew returns, how about a run against Damian Priest and then a challenge against Gunther for the World Championship? Or maybe even a switch to the Smackdown brand to challenge LA Knight for the United States Championship. Either would work for me.
Everyone thinks that Shane McMahon should lead Moxley’s group, but what about Adam Copeland instead?
Either one would be okay, but Copeland wouldn’t make sense. At least with Shane, there is a precedence since he’s a McMahon and used to be Moxley’s boss. With Copeland, we don’t even have that. Honestly, though, I’m at the point I don’t care what they do.
Zeus versus Bad Bunny. Who wins?
Zeus was a bad actor who only could do the power moves. Bunny is a decent singer with bad political tastes who learned many moves and had some good matches. Zeus would try and Debo Bunny, but Bunny would hippity-hop his way to a win at the end of the Bunny Trail.
Who was the better second-generation wrestler? David Flair, David Sammartino, or Angelo Mosca Jr?
David Flair was just bad and pushed too hard and too fast. Sammartino Jr. was better, but the shadow of his father was too much for him to overcome. Mosca Jr. didn’t stay in the business long, but he had a good physique and could hold his own with anyone. He had two runs as the Mid-Atlantic Champion and had a good feud with Ivan Koloff. Mosca Jr. wasn’t a great wrestler, but he was the best of the three names mentioned.
The Young Bucks are taking some time off from AEW and are expected to be gone for a while. Thoughts?
The storyline as the evil EVPs bombed and now Nick and Matt are taking a break to give everyone time to forget about this last run before they come back again. Now if they could only take Jericho with them. Oy vey.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up for now. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects or kicks from Sami Zayn. I’ll see you at the matches.
