This is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug. Let’s rock & roll.

If you were a professional wrestler, what would your character’s name be? It can’t be your actual name.

Anyone who has read my stuff for any time already knows the answer. Mr. Vincent Paul Phillips.

Where do you think Tegan Nox and Indi Hartwell will go after their no-compete in WWE ends?

Both of these women are good wrestlers and talented women. Nox will probably end up as part of TNA, while I think Hartwell will fit in well as part of AEW.

Do you think there will be more cuts in WWE, or will Corbin, Hartwell, and Nox be the only ones?

I would not be surprised to see more cuts shortly for WWE. The roster is huge and bloated, especially with the recent signings of the MCMGs and the new WWE ID program. Unfortunately, when new faces arrive, space on the roster has to be made. There will be a few more talents cut, except Ava Raine and Tamina. They’re safe.

Does Ken Patera belong in the WWE Hall of Fame?

Patera was an Olympic medalist, plus very successful with runs in the WWWF, WWF, Mid-Atlantic, and AWA regions. He’s a former Intercontinental Champion as well. I think this one is a no-brainer. Yes, he belongs in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Swede Hanson versus Iron Mike Sharpe. Who wins?

Swede and Sharpe played similar roles, with Swede being the resident tough guy for Crockett who took the fight to everyone, was considered a heel, but had a sense of honor. And Sharpe was the resident tough guy in WWE. He rarely won, but the opponent always knew that he’d been in a fight. What a brutal slapping of man-meat match this would be. I think Hanson would win.

Form a faction with one wrestler from WWE, one from NXT, one from AEW, one from TNA, and a woman, with a wrestling legend as a manager.

How about Drew McIntyre, Ethan Page, Mustafa Ali, and Sarah Logan, with manager Joe Hennig, aka the former Curtis Axel? That sounds like a formidable team to me.

Wahoo McDaniel versus Samoa Joe. Who wins?

Two big men with impressive power and in-ring skills. Wahoo would win this one.

Do you think we’ll ever see a one-on-one match in WWE between Gunther and Brock Lesnar?

It’s a true dream match that would draw huge money for WWE. WWE teased it in the Royal Rumble a few years ago, but it hasn’t happened yet. I hope we do see it, possibly even at WrestleMania 41. It’s a match the fans want to see and very worthy of the event.

Since John Cena and Bill Goldberg are retiring in 2025, should the last match for both of them be against each other? And if so, who wins?

No, they should not wrestle with each other. They shouldn’t even be allowed near each other. Let Cena do his thing while Goldberg does his. If they did wrestle, Cena should win.

Some rumors say the New Day, including Big E, could all be free agents in about a month, do you think they would all re-sign in WWE for a return run? Or could all members of The New Day be looking for their next opportunity outside of WWE?

While New Day is on the tail end of their careers, I think all three men are WWE for life and will remain a part of the company even long after their in-ring days are over. There is still life left in the franchise, plus New Day still sells a ton of merchandise. They’re not going anywhere.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, I’m out of here. Take care and be well, my friends. I’ll see you at the matches. #JusticeForPeanut!
