I’m Doug and this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s roll.
WWE is speaking to Travis Scott over an appearance
on the first episode of RAW on Netflix. Thoughts?
Who is Travis Scott? I’m serious. I just had to google the name to find out who this dude is. A famous rapper. Okay, no wonder I didn’t know. My opinion of most rap is the same as the West Texas Rednecks. So maybe he’ll be on RAW? It’s no big deal to me.
Vince Russo says that he will never take a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame and he doesn’t need approval from Vince McMahon. Thoughts?
Vince McMahon isn’t the one making the decisions anymore so his approval is not anything that Russo would need to worry about. Russo doesn’t want to be part of the Hall of Fame? I’m sure WWE is crushed by this revelation. But everyone will be okay.
Who should Private Party face as their first challengers for the AEW Tag Team Championships?
It looks to me as if it might be The Acclaimed. This works for me because everyone loves The Acclaimed.
When do you think Shinsuke Nakamura will return to action in WWE?
Shinsuke is healthy and has been backstage at recent Smackdown tapings so I’m guessing it won’t be longer. Maybe at the Royal Rumble?
Alpha Academy (Otis, Maxine Dupri, Akira Tozawa) versus The Dudley Boys & Stacy Keibler. Who wins?
The Alpha Academy would be going through tables. The Dudley Boyz and Stacy Keibler would win this one.
Who is higher up on the greatest of all-time ranking? AJ Styles or CM Punk.
In the ring, I’d say AJ Styles, but in terms of promo abilities, charisma, and being a character, it’s all CM Punk all the way.
Randy Savage & The Ultimate Warrior versus Sid Vicious & Vader. Who wins?
Savage and Warrior would implode within a matter of minutes. Sid and Vader would end up getting the win.
Allegedly, AEW is in negotiations for a ROH TV deal. The reason that Jericho was made the new ROH Champion was to be the face of the promotion during TV negotiations. Thoughts?
That kind of makes sense given Jericho’s reputation as a big star with huge name recognition, but it still sucks for Mark Briscoe though. I guess that’s what’s called taking one for the company, and Briscoe has always been an ROH Company guy.
Baron Corbin’s new Twitter post. “That’s all she wrote folks — It’s been real and I appreciate everyone who supported me.” Thoughts?
The way I understand it, Corbin’s contract is ready to expire and he’s been notified by WWE that they won’t be offering an extension or renewal. This sucks for Corbin, and is, in my opinion, a mistake by WWE. From what I’ve heard, Tyrus has already reached out to Corbin to give him a shout, plus I’m sure that both AEW and TNA will be interested in the former NFL star. Corbin is highly underrated and WWE’s loss will just be someone else’s gain. Just show them, Baron. You got this!
Wrestlers Tegan Nox & Indi Hartwell have been released by WWE. Thoughts?
With all the new signings as of late, plus the new WWE ID program, some room has to be made and thus, people get released. Nox isn’t a surprise since she’s been on the shelf as often as not. A very talented lady, but somewhat injury-prone. Hartwell is a surprise because she’s been regularly featured on Smackdown and even worked a match this past Friday. Both women will land on their feet and be fine though. Of that, I have no doubt.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for sneak attacks by Kevin Owens and I’ll see you at the matches.
