I’m Doug. Welcome to the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Happy Veterans Day. And Happy Heavenly Birthday to my brother, Jeff Maynard, who would have been 61 today. RIP Jeff. We love & miss you. Let’s do this.

Maven versus Stevie Richards. Who wins?

Maven may have won Tough Enough, but Dr. Stevie has the Stevie-Kick and was the General Manager of Sunday Night Heat. Stevie Richards would win.

How can WWE further support and showcase its women’s division?

Strong matches, more television and interview time, and strong characters being allowed to shine in the spotlight and main events. It’s just the basics, but it works.

What do you think about Diamond Dallas Page’s decision to avoid passing the Diamond Cutter to MJF?

Dallas is a good guy and I’m sure that he has his reasons for not wanting MJF to use his signature move. The move doesn’t fit MJF’s character or wrestling style. I think Page realizes that and didn’t want MJF to botch up the legacy of his move. But what does it matter what Page thinks? MJF is a heel. He should “steal” the move and use it anyhow.

Do you feel it’s simply unfortunate that Kurt Angle never made his way to AEW? Or is it better he never did?

Look at what AEW has done to the legacies of Rusev, Edge, Chris Jericho, Moxley, Claudio, Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross, Mark Henry, Big Show, etc. Kurt is well-loved and well-respected in professional wrestling. He had to rebuild his legacy once after the initial firing from WWE and he did so. I’d hate to see him have to do it again.

Do you believe Trevor Lee will return to WWE someday? Do you want to see him return?

When you least expect it, expect it. Lee is a very talented wrestler who is creating a great buzz as a wrestling nomad on the Indys. When the time is right, he’ll be back in WWE again. The dude is too good to be ignored for long.

Do you want to see Goldberg make his way to AEW in the future?

Considering that he’s teasing a final match and WWE is involved in that venture, a move to AEW would be a huge step backward for Goldberg. It’s probably best that he stays as far away from AEW as possible.

Do you believe The Elite will never make their way to WWE in the future?

With Kenny Omega, there is still a chance and strong possibility that one day, he’ll be appearing in an AEW ring. The time off due to injuries has allowed him to protect his character and image and he’s not damaged goods. So far as Matt & Nick Jackson, aka The Young Bucks, are concerned, their antics in the ring and more importantly behind the scenes, I can’t see WWE wanting to deal with it or them.

Do you want to see Tony Khan involved in a match or on camera more or should he just stay behind the desk?

Tony Khan should stay off television, off social media, and away from the booker’s office. Hire someone else to handle the company and just sign the checks. It would be better for AEW, for the fans, and for Tony himself.

Who would win between Kenny Omega and Xavier Woods?

Omega is the big star, but I think a match against Woods would have consequences. Omega would win, but he would know he’d been in a great match and would have to fight for it every step of the way.

Do you think Pak Song would have been a good fit for the WWWF in the 70’s like 1975 managed by Fred Blassie?

Pak Song was over in Florida and a great heel, but he never seems to catch on anywhere else. An alliance with Blassie in the then-WWWF would have made for a great combination. Blassie always did well with the crazy foreign wrestlers and Song certainly fit the bill. It would have worked very well.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
