I’m Doug and this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Are you ready? Let’s do this.
Randy Orton’s WWE Career has been incredible. Do you think he should add one more championship to this already impressive history?
One more championship is always nice, but Randy doesn’t need it at all. His legacy is pretty much set in stone at this point.
Smackdown now has a WWE US Women’s Title. What about a WWE Women’s IC Title for RAW?
How about not? I’m still not sure about the new version of the United States Championship. Let’s wait and see how well this new title gets over and its effect on the WWE Women’s Division before we start trying to add any more belts.
Rikishi believes Solo Sikoa could be the one to dethrone Cody Rhodes. Is he right?
While I’d be the first to admit that Solo has improved quite a bit over the past year, I just don’t see him as the guy to take out Cody. I could be wrong, but I think Rikishi is wrong on this one.
Who’s your pick for the true king of pro wrestling? Harley Race, Jerry Lawler, Ernie Ladd, or Booker T?
All of these men were strong rulers who wore that crown proudly and with honor, but in my opinion, Jerry Lawler wore it best.
Do you believe there is any truth to such rumors of Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair having real-life tensions?
It’s possible, but it could also be a story planted to tease an eventual breakup somewhere down the line. With two strong alpha women as a part of a team, there has to be some tension. That’s a given. Is it real or kayfabe? That’s the question. I guess we’ll just have to watch and see how this develops.
Were you shocked when you learned that WWE NXT beat AEW Dynamite on their night?
I was not shocked at all. I had predicted it a few days earlier in an edition of the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. WWE NXT had the better show and when the ECW factor was added to the mix, it was a clear and strong CRUSH!
Which wrestler shined brighter in the “goofy hardcore” wrestling era: Crash Holly or Norman Smiley? I gotta go with Norman.
Both were excellent in their roles as comedic talents. Crash pretending to be a super heavyweight and bringing a scale to the ring. Norman with football helmets, the backstage antics, and the Big Wiggle. It makes it even funnier when you look at how good a serious wrestler Norman was in Japan and AAA as Black Magic. I’ll go with Mr. Smiley on this one.
Sami and the Usos need a FIFTH team member for the Survivor Series War Games! Who should it be?
SPOILER: It looks as if Solo might be recruiting Bronson Reed for their 5th man if what I’ve seen and am speculating is correct. A fifth man for the original Bloodline? I think this would be a great reason to consult a Wise Man for his advice and judgment. And who would Mr. Heyman advise? I’d suggest a man who Heyman worked as an advocate for. I don’t think the Beast has much on his schedule at the moment. Just kidding. I wish it would be Brock, but most likely, it’ll be Bron Breakker.
Did The Rock earn his success or was he a Nepo-Baby?
The Rock had some early advantages at the beginning of his career due to his father and family heritage, but he put in the hard work, the sweat, and the long nights, and built his character and fan base. The Rock earned his success.
If the choice was yours, which of these wrestlers would you bring back to WWE and why? Matt Cardona, Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler, Matt Riddle, Cesaro, or Swerve Strickland?
Of this grouping, I’d go with Claudio Castagnoli, aka Cesaro. I think he’d do very well under the Paul Levesque era of WWE. He was often ignored by Vince, but I think Triple H would use him as he deserves, as a top guy and star.
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap it up for now. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for Rhino and the GORE! I’ll see you at the matches.
Ubuntu!
