I’m Doug and this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m still trying to catch up, but I still want your questions too. Much appreciated. And now, let’s get busy.
Do you think Britt Baker should/will return to the women’s main event scene in AEW or not?
I don’t know if she will or not, but I’d much rather see the evil Dentist at work than watch women literally shake their tits at each other as a promo. At least with Baker, we’d get competent wrestling and a woman with real talent.
Should WWE bring back the 60-person World War 3 match? I think with WWE’s production values, they could make it work. It would certainly be a spectacle.
No. It was a chaotic mess when WCW did it and it’d be a chaotic mess now. Some things are better off left in the past and kept as only a memory. World War 3 is one of those things.
RVD believes Vince McMahon brought back ECW to destroy it, (via Busted Open Radio). Thoughts?
Vince brought back ECW to make money. That was Vince’s bottom-line motivation for everything. And then he felt he could “improve it” to be more to his own tastes and liking. We ended up with WWECW. It wasn’t malicious intent. It was just Vince being Vince.
What are your thoughts on The Acclaimed dissing Kamala Harris during the latest AEW Collision tapings?
I haven’t seen this, but I guess that they were just looking for a cheap pop and some heat. Given the crowd reaction as I’ve heard, it didn’t work.
What if Paul Heyman brought CM Punk in as the fifth man for the Bloodline and War Games? Thoughts?
I’ve heard many suggest this and it does make sense in many ways. I hope we do see it happen.
Ernie Ladd versus Irwin R. Scheister. Who wins?
What a unique match this would be. Ernie Ladd would win though. Kings don’t pay taxes.
One has to go. The Four Horsemen, D-Generation X, The nWo, or Evolution. Which one and why?
This one is tough. The Horsemen were the original wrestling gang and set the bar for all that followed. The nWo saved WCW and kept the company alive for a long time. DX did the same for WWE and introduced us to Triple H. And finally, Evolution gave us the best of the best as Ric had his final run, Triple H cemented his legacy, and we met Orton and Batista. I’ll go with Evolution. Orton and Batista were both good enough that they still would have been stars. Triple H and Flair were already established so it was essentially just padding their already impressive careers.
Should WWE bring back Rico as the manager for the team, Pretty Deadly? Would that work in today’s WWE?
I don’t know if Rico’s health could handle today’s WWE, but it’d be a great combination and could greatly benefit Pretty Deadly if this pairing was to happen. Even if it didn’t last, it’d be fun to see. I’d like to see it happen.
Dutch Mantell recently commented that he would like to “slap the dog sh*t out of” Dave Meltzer. Thoughts?
Join the line, Dutch. I’d like to see Dutch slap the dog shit out of Meltzer too. Given his recent comments about Dutch, he certainly deserves it.
If you could pick three women for surprise appearances at the Women’s Royal Rumble match, who would it be?
Three women who would get a huge pop, plus would add to the product and make things more interesting without being too obvious? How about Lisa Marie Varon, aka Victoria, along with an induction to the WWE Hall of Fame, original Tough Enough winner Nidia, just for some great nostalgia, and the return of Ronda Rousey?
And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And that’s another one in the books. More to come shortly, but for now, I’m taking a break. I’ll see you later, Alligator. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.
