I’m Doug and this is the only wrestling Q&A that matters. No question is off-limits or goes unanswered. It’s the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Let’s get to kicking. And away we go.

Who is your commentary dream team?

It would be Rich Landrum (from NWA Worldwide Wrestling/Jim Crockett Promotions), Dutch Mantell, and Corey Graves.

Double tapings are becoming more common now. Should this idea become the norm?

During the holidays to give the talent more time off to be with their families, sure. Why not. And maybe during the slower times of the year like after Mania. But once RAW goes to Netflix and Smackdown goes to three hours, these days off and double-tapings won’t be happening quite as often. I hope everyone is enjoying them while they can.

In your opinion, should Money In The Bank replace Survivor Series as one of the “Big Four” annual events?

Nope. It’s fine exactly as it is. Leave the Big Four events alone.

If WWE does swerve us with CM Punk joining the OG Bloodline at War Games, could that cause a Punk/Rollins feud with Rollins upset that Punk got his hands on Bronson Reed instead of him?

I don’t think that Rollins needs any more reasons to not like CM Punk, but seeing Punk allying himself with Roman for whatever reason could add some fuel to the fire. It’s just one more thing added to the list of reasons that Seth already has in his mind.

Who is a currently active wrestler you feel both WWE and AEW have completely wasted, not using them at all in the correct role and having their run in that company be a massive disappointment given their potential?

For AEW, it’s Ricky Starks. The guy was so hot and getting over like Rover and then, for whatever reason, he was taken off TV, sent home, and hasn’t been used since. The guy is good with so much potential and the fans were into him. And now, nothing. As for WWE, how about Omos? They have a legitimate giant. He’s not a great worker, but he was getting better and could be carried to a good match. He is far better than other giants in the past like Great Khali or El Gigante. Stick him with a good manager as his spokesperson and he could be a huge star. But WWE has seemingly forgotten about him and he’s vanished into catering limbo. He has the potential to be something special, but instead, he’s forgotten.

What’s your opinion on AEW having the Costco guy vs QT Marshall on Zero Hour?

I have no idea who this guy is, nor do I care. I hope that QT Marshall gets a nice bonus check for this match. My opinion? I don’t get it and it just doesn’t feel right or make sense to me.

Will Tony Khan ever care about attendance at his shows?

So long as Tony can play booker and make the matches that make him happy, I don’t think he gives a damn at all about the audience or people coming to the shows. Tony books for an audience of one and that one is himself, Tony Khan.

What’s the most brutal-looking finisher you’ve ever seen?

It’s so primitive and raw, just the thought of it sends shivers down my spine. How no one has ever suffered permanent injury from this vicious move, I have no idea. The horrors. And of course, I’m talking about the most dangerous move in wrestling history, Norman Smiley’s Big Wiggle. It should be banned forever.

True or false: R Truth is the gift that keeps giving?

Truth is a national treasure and an awesome gem of a person. True!

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, let’s end this for now. I’ll be back later with more stuff. I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
