This is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. I’m Doug and I have all the answers to your wrestling questions. It’s what I do. Let’s get busy and answer a few.
Ricochet recently said that AEW was the place where he could finally show the world who he is. But he’s lost every major match he’s wrestled in AEW so far. What is this showing the world? Thoughts?
Ricochet is showing the world that he’s a good employee and doing what he’s asked to do while he cashes the big checks and badmouths WWE in the process. But his time is coming. Tony told him so so we just need to be patient and wait.
I recently saw a Meet & Greet advertisement for Kurrgan from the WWE faction The Human Oddities. Would you pay money to meet and speak to Kurrgan?
I wouldn’t, but there are very few wrestlers or personalities that I would pay money to meet or speak with. I did buy an autographed picture from Baby Doll a few months ago at a show, but that was to give to my nephew. I’ve spoken to her many times on Twitter, and she’s a great person, so she’s the exception. I can’t think of anyone else. They’re just people like the rest of us, but they have more excitement in their lives and everyone knows them. That’s all.
What is your opinion of the Human Oddities from WWE?
This was the group of human freaks such as Kurrgan, Golga (John Tenta), Giant Silva, and Luna Vachon, along with the Insane Clown Posse. I barely remember them, but I do remember their music and the ICP. I think Sable was a part of the group for a while too. They were different, but I liked the group. It was just WWE’s counter to WCW’s Dungeon of Doom.
Was Daniel Puder really at fault, or did he get a raw deal as the winner of WWE Tough Enough and his treatment in the WWE locker room?
I think Puder had a little arrogance when he did Tough Enough and rubbed a few people the wrong way when he stood up to Kurt Angle and made Kurt look foolish, nearly breaking Kurt’s arm. And he was bullied and punished for that arrogance. Just watch Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, and Bob Holly and the way they took advantage during the Royal Rumble match. It’s embarrassing. I think there was some wrong on every side of the Puder situation, but the majority of it, in my opinion, was on the side of the so-called professionals who decided to be bullies. If Puder were to come up in WWE now, things would be different, and I think he would have been a huge star.
Kerry Von Erich versus Ronnie Garvin. Who wins?
The master of the Discus Punch versus The Hands of Stone. This would be an interesting match. In a shoot, Garvin would win, but inside that wrestling ring, I’d have to go with Kerry Von Erich. Never underestimate the power of the Iron Claw.
Would you like to see the WWE Hardcore Championship title return?
Not really, no. WWE doesn’t need any more titles.
Would you be interested in seeing Mandy Rose return to WWE?
Mandy was a very good wrestler and was over with the fans in NXT. I’d like to see her come back and have one more run. The whole deal with her OnlyFans and Twitch accounts and WWE wanting a share was so dumb. She doesn’t need the WWE and to be honest, the roster is stacked right now so they don’t need Rose either. It’d still be nice to see her come back though.
Do you want to see CM Punk as a Paul Heyman Guy again?
Again? Once a Paul Heyman guy, always a Paul Heyman guy, and CM Punk never stopped being one of Paul’s guys. So no “again” needs to be added to this question.
