I’m Doug and this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

Should WWE host War Games for another year at Survivor Series 2025?

Much like it was synonymous with Fall Brawl in WCW, War Games has become linked with Survivor Series in WWE. Yes, they should continue the association.

Maven Huffman, the winner of the first Tough Enough, says that he still has the itch and would like to come back to the WWE, but he doesn’t think Triple H is a fan. Would you be interested in seeing Maven back inside a WWE ring?

I wouldn’t mind seeing Maven come back and maybe do a guest appearance in the Royal Rumble match, but aside from that, I think Maven would be lost in today’s WWE. Let him have an appearance at the Rumble match and just take it from there in regards to future spots.

Should WWE run another Starrcade event, or should the event be retired?

I like the Starcade name, but every time WWE uses it, they’re forced to admit that Starcade preceded WrestleMania and was the first PPV, the true Granddaddy of them all. Using the name for the NXT PLEs works though and WWE should continue.

According to wrestling columnist, Mr. Tito, WWE focuses on quality matches, while AEW focuses on quantity. Is Mr. Tito correct?

Mr. Tito is 100% correct about that. WWE gives long, solid matches mixed with storytelling to keep the fans interested. AEW just throws out a dozen matches and the fans can figure it out for themselves.

What are your thoughts on ODB? Why was she never in WWE?

ODB is a very unique woman wrestler. She’s not a traditional beauty, and her style is rough and brawling, but she spends more time slapping her tits than actually applying holds. ODB is a decent talker, but she has never come across to me as a major talent or top star. I would have liked to see her character paired up with WWE’s resident redneck Jamie Noble and Nidia. That would have been cringe and more like Jerry Springer Unplugged, but it would have been great wrestling television. ODB just wasn’t what WWE looked for in a Diva, but she still had a good career and was an entertaining character.

We all have our favorites as to who should be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame next year, but who would be your choices for the Legacy Wing of the HOF? Six selections only, please.

Only six selections? Damn! I’d go with The Minnesota Wrecking Crew, Ole and Gene Anderson, Former AWA Women’s Champion Penny Banner, Jim Crockett Jr., Iceman King Parsons, Sir Oliver Humperdink, and Ox Baker.

What do you think of Mariah May’s title reign as the AEW Women’s Champion in AEW so far? Has it been great, bad, or what you expected?

I had forgotten that she is the current AEW Women’s Champion. I guess it’s been okay. Not very memorable, but solid, I guess. It would rate as probably what was to be expected. Nothing more.

If Ronda Rousey decided to come back to professional wrestling, what would be the best spot for her? Back in WWE or signing with AEW?

It would depend on what she’s looking for. If Ronda wants to be taken seriously as a wrestler and cement a legacy as a professional wrestler, WWE would be the place to go. If she’s just coming in for a few quick bucks and some easy press, AEW would be the right place for her. It just all depends on what she wants.

Bad Bad Leroy Brown versus Bronson Reed. Who wins?

This match would be bowling shoe ugly. Leroy was a big man with a unique look, but he was not a good wrestler. He had charisma and a strong presence, but the matches were less than good. Reed is starting to shine and getting better each week. He proved in War Games that he’s a top star waiting to happen. This would be a brawl and probably see a lot of potatoes being thrown. I think Bronson Reed would win.

What are your final predictions for what will happen during The New Day’s ten-year celebration?

As I write this, we’re roughly an hour away from the start of RAW. I think we’ll tease the tension between Woods and Kofi, with Big E coming in to make peace. And we’ll see a match probably set up for Saturday Night’s Main Event for the New Day to either work together and be on the same page or else self-destruct. So for tonight, Big E will bring Kofi and Xavier together, but it will set up something else to see if the truce can last.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to share, like, and subscribe. And with that, let’s wrap things up for now. Take care and be well, my friends. Watch out for foreign objects and I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
