Kurt Angle recently said that he thinks John Cena should challenge for the WWE Championship in his last match. Is Kurt right? Yes or no.

I hate to disagree with an Olympic Gold Medalist, but on this one, I do. Why take two possible main event matches and make them into just one? John Cena’s final match is a big deal on its own. No title is needed to make it special. And the Champion, whoever it is at the time, can defend the belt in a different match, giving the fans more bang for the buck. Cena doesn’t need the title and even if he won, he’d be vacating it the next day as per his retirement and last match. WWE doesn’t need the extra complications.

What are your thoughts on Eric Bischoff’s WWE NXT debut? Do you think his appearance could signal more involvement with WWE?

From what I understand, it was a rash and sudden decision since Eric was going to be in the area anyhow, WWE decided to throw it out there if Eric wanted to do a spot. It’s a cool move for all of us nostalgia buffs to see the former boss of WCW and RAW General Manager make an appearance. And if it goes well, we’ll probably see more of The Bisch! That’d be cool too.

Should Big E pursue a return to the ring, or is his path outside of wrestling the right move?

Big E should do what’s best for Big E, be it in the ring, at the announce table, or whatever else. The man has paid his dues and he got hurt as a result. He should pursue happiness and whatever he wants with no second thoughts or doubts. He’s earned it.

Ravishing Rick Rude & Curt Hennig versus DIY (Tomasso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano). Who wins?

I think it’d be a Rude Awakening for Tomasso & Ciampa as they’d have a great match, but the ending would be absolutely perfect for Rude and Hennig. Rude and Hennig win.

What’s your take on WWE’s choice to keep John Cena as the company’s ultimate good guy? Should they have turned him heel?

There were times that I thought so, but it wouldn’t have worked. Cena could be a prick at times, but turning him heel would be like the attempt to turn Steve Austin heel during the Invasion Angle. The fans didn’t buy it or accept it and he eventually had to turn back babyface. It’d be the same deal with Cena.

What’s your take on Liv’s journey with Ruby and Sarah? Did The Riott Squad leave a lasting mark on WWE history?

I think the Riott Squad was an effective group for their time together in the WWE. It was a good way to introduce Liv to the WWE audience and allow her to improve and grow as a character. They didn’t last long enough as a unit in my opinion, but they had their moment and did well while it lasted.

What are your thoughts on WWE’s decision to leave Chelsea Green off Survivor Series?

Chelsea gets plenty of big moments in WWE and the Survivor Series had enough going on. Her presence wasn’t needed and she was able to spend some time with her family instead. Good for her. She’ll have her moment in the sun when she becomes the first-ever Women’s United States Champion at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

What does it say about Cody Rhodes when no one cares that he wasn’t at Survivor Series?

It means WWE has such a stacked and strong roster that Cody was able to have a night off to be with the family. Nothing more than that.

Adrian Adonis w/ Freddie Blassie versus Stan Hansen. Who wins?

When Adonis was with Blassie, he was still in relatively good shape and was a wrestling machine. Stan Hansen was always dangerous in the ring and as tough as they come. This would be a match for the ages. It’s a tough call, but I think Hansen would score the win.

Who is your favorite faction in AEW?

I have absolutely no idea what the factions in AEW currently are. It’s too confusing most of the time to even try to keep up without a scorecard. I guess I’ll say the Hurt Syndicate. MVP, Lashley, and Shelton were good in WWE and they’re even better in AEW. So let’s go with them.
