I’m Doug and this is the Ultimate Wrestling Q&A. No question is off-limits. Let’s do this.

If you could have one full day of training with any wrestler from any era, who would you choose?

Since my aspirations would be more in managing, booking, and laying out a wrestling card than actual wrestling, I’d spend the day with either Jim Cornette or Paul Heyman.

Favorite C-level DC superhero?

I don’t think this question is supposed to be here, but what the hell? I’ll answer it anyhow. I’d go with Jericho from the Teen Titans. Jericho, whose real name was Joseph Wilson, was mute and spoke mainly through sign language. He was a peace-loving soul who could take control of a person’s motor functions through eye contact. A skilled hand-to-hand fighter, he was also the son of the Titan’s #1 villain, Deathstroke. He was such a unique character for comics at the time of his debut in the early 80s—just a good kid with some rough circumstances.

Top 3 bald wrestlers? Any time, any promotion.

For me, it would be Stone Cold Steve Austin, Ivan Kolloff, and the legendary Baron Von Raschke.

With WWE moving to Netflix and AEW eventually moving content to MAX, Do you see smaller companies like MLW moving to other streaming channels, or do you think they will continue to stay the more traditional route of staying on cable TV?

Cable is slowly dying and more fans are watching the streaming services these days. It only makes sense for a wrestling promotion, if they want to stay strong and active, to move in that direction. I’d love to see MLW and the NWA on a regular streaming service. It’s the way of the future.

Ted DiBiase versus Sgt. Slaughter. Who wins?

Both men use the same finisher. The Million Dollar Dream is just another name for the Cobra Clutch. This would be an interesting match. Did these two ever wrestle or were they both heels at the same time? I can’t remember. As to who wins, it depends on what Sgt. Slaughter shows up. If it’s the WWE or AWA version of Slaughter, then DiBiase would win. If it’s the Crockett version, Slaughter would get the nod. It’d most likely be the WWE version of both men. DiBiase wins.

Will Big E find a tag partner or take on Kofi and Woods in a handicap match if he is cleared to compete again, and who should be his tag partner?

If Big E wasn’t medically cleared to wrestle, he wouldn’t be doing this angle. That’s common sense. As for a partner, Big E has been mentoring Omos for quite a while now. I think that Omos would be his partner for any match against his former friends.

Who are three wrestlers you’d like to see signed by either WWE or AEW?

Right off the top of my head, I’d go with Heath Slater back to WWE to live out the OMB tradition and win a World Championship, TNA star Joe Hendry because I believe in Joe Hendry. And Thunderhorse Michael Youngblood. Michael has so many skills in that ring, and is a great professional wrestler, as well as being an incredible person. I think he’s got one good run left in that body. He would do so well in the WWE or NXT under Triple H and HBK. Or in AEW amid the chaos. Mike seems to thrive on chaos and would quickly get over with their audience. I’d love to see Mike versus Daniel Garcia or Adam Page. He’d teach them old boys a lesson or two about getting over and paying dues.

What’s your thought on the Nemeth/Punk/AEWHR situation? Why is he bringing it up now? Do you see Punk as a villain there or does he get what’s coming to him because of his ” the softest” comment to Punk?

I don’t get why this is coming up now or why it even matters. Tony Khan is an incompetent boss and doesn’t do his job properly. Ryan Nemeth got quietly fired as a result. This matter is between AEW and Nemeth. Airing the dirty laundry now when it happened nearly two years ago is just petty as hell and unnecessary.

Matt Cardona debuted on tonight’s Ring of Honor TV tapings to attack Chris Jericho during his Learning Tree segment. It will be Jericho vs Cardona for the ROH World Championship at Final Battle PPV in Hammerstein Ballroom! Thoughts?

Matt truly is an Indy God and the Death Match King. He literally can show up anywhere and will do exactly that. I guess that this is Jericho’s idea as a way to smooth over the recent AEW/GCW issues, plus have a great match in the process. Whatever the reason, it should be an excellent and fun match for the ROH audience.

Who should dethrone Shinsuke Nakamura?

Grayson Waller is the first name that popped into my head. I’d love to see him holding some singles gold. Let’s go with that. Austin Theory, doing a face-turn, would make a great United States Champion as well.

And there you go. My thanks for reading. Comments, thoughts, and any questions are welcome and appreciated. Be sure to like, share, and subscribe. And with that, I’m out of here. Take care and always remember, it’s your duty to shake your booty. I’ll see you at the matches.

Ubuntu!
